***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Are you planning to just do one day at universal? Sorry I can't remember what your plans are now, just know you have two teens.
Yes.... We would go on 12/5. To make it happen I would give up T-Rex on 11/30, MK dessert party on 11/30, CP on 12/5, and one more ADR that was going to be out of pocket.
I'll still keep the star wars Dessert party.... That's for DS

It will cost about $600 for the day for 3

@JamieOak I have a BOG on 11/30 at 5:40 that I'm probably going to cancel. I just need to make a decision about Universal. I'm trying to make it happen for DD.

I thought you said earlier you had decided against Universal due to cost. That is a really tough decision for you! Is that time too close to my FEA FP at 4:20-5:20pm? I'm seriously clueless on how long it will take to get from EP to MK via the monorail system. If I can make that work, I'll definitely take it if you do end up dropping it.

If it's important to your DD, I think it'll be worth it... you're such a great mom to make it happen for your DD :) I think universal is well suited for teens too so I'm sure they will enjoy it tremendously:)

I think it might be a little tight...? you need to get on FEA early, maybe 4:05 then ride quickly, walk out to Epcot main entrance and wait for the monorail to TTC, get off the TTC then wait for monorail to MK, get through security and walk to BOG... not too sure how much time that takes but might be doable for two adults

@JamieOak That spreadsheet IS lovely! You've organized it beautifully! I'm diggin' @Candycane83's idea about the WS food crawl! That seems like an awesome way to go about your day before the SW dessert party. :)

For 11/27: I have read that some folks have just dessert at CG for fireworks. Wonder if that would be of any interest to you and DH if you could snag an ADR there? I decided to check on availability just for fun and look what I have now! haha :) Obviously, its yours if you want it!

I wish I could put all that into touring plans so it could time it out. I'm assuming the monorail would be quicker than a park-to-park bus, but I don't know.

I thought they had cheese and bread stuff at dessert party? Some savory stuff?
I think they have pita and some dips, cheese too I think... DS would not eat too much of that though... and both Dh and ds might want something more substantial than that for dinner too... just our personal preference. :)

I'm always up for dessert! Did you literally just find that ADR? I was looking for days around 9pm and nothing! You must have some Disney magic going on. pixiedust: I'll send you a PM.

I'm worried it won't be substantial enough either. But I'm also not confident in scheduling a dinner ADR afterwards, because not enough time to cancel it if we realize we aren't hungry. Ugh, I just want the schedule already!

Many thanks to @Talby who used her ADR finding powers for good tonight and just transferred a CA Grill ADR to me. Now I have the option to end our resort crawl by viewing the holiday Wishes from the Contemporary. A little sneak peak of what I'll get to see up close and personal 4 days later.

That was such fun how that all just happened!! :) Looks like slowly but surely the question marks on your itinerary are turning into solid plans! (food crawl, possibility of BOG, 11/27 firmed up a little). YAY!! Makes planning FUN again when things sort of turn a corner. :car: Kinda like a recharge! :jumping1:

My earlier days have shaped up recently, but my later days are still messy or empty. Progress though.

I just explained to my DH how you grabbed that ADR for me and then gave it to me. He was a little confused when I made a little happy squeal while we are sitting on the couch with the weather channel on watching the hurricane news :(. After I explained it, he actually got really excited and claimed "that is so cool!".

Instead of making an ADR, why not head to Disney Springs for QS at Blaze, Deluxe Burger (is that the name?), WGPE, Earl of Sandwich, the crepe or poutine place or wherever?

You could make reservations on OpenTable too if ever, you can switch or cancel anytime before :)

That's a great idea. I have Disney Springs penciled in as an option for after the SW fireworks. So far the options are heading over to Epcot until it closes at 9:30, or the Boardwalk and possibly Jellyrolls for a bit, or Disney Springs. There's QS or snack options at all of those options. I had Flying Fish as an option for either 12/2 or 12/3, but I think I've settled on 12/2.

I agree! I may not have kids now, but reading all you guys talking about your trips with children I feel I'll be prepared for my future trips with kids. I'm taking good notes.

It really is great. Sometimes I wish I could give more advice, because I feel like I'm always taking it. :rolleyes1 But this is almost a newbie trip for me since I haven't been for many many years and none of my trips were ever planned like this. All I remember is camping at Ft Wilderness and we ate there every day and loved it! (Just saying that reminds me of Lisa F's story of her friend eating at Boma every night of her trip:rotfl2:). I can't even say which restaurant that would've been back then. I remember Space and Splash mountain and the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room. But that's about it. I don't think we ever went anywhere other than MK either!
