***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I'm obsessing over Epcot right now. Trying to whittle down our must-do list and add to the "this is an option" list so it can feel more spontaneous!:-) lol So with Epcot on my mind, I got curious about what others' favorite countries might be? Either from past experience there or, if you've never been, any particular country that you might feel especially drawn to.

We want to step foot in and all the countries to some extent. :magnify: I'm sure we'll end up spending more time in some than others, especially where we have must-do stuff. And who knows what might catch our eye and we'll stay a while. Going in, our favorites seem to be:
DD: Japan
DS: France
Talby: Morocco

Do you have a favorite country or one you're especially excited about?

I LOVE Mexico :) It's always been my favorite. It's the atmosphere :)
but Morocco is so beautiful and a close second in my book...
well, and I like China...
you can see a pattern here...
I think what is so amazing about the WS is that it is just SOOO authentic...it's amazing how you feel moving from one country to the next! You are truly immersed into the whole culture. Every little detail

I love the look of Japan at Epcot and the country in general but for Christmas festivities, I'm probably looking forward to seeing Germany and Norway.... and uk and france.. I'm just like @rasadkowski :rotfl:

Haha...yeah, probably sort of an impossible question to answer really. Mexico is the only country we've seen and we did love it! I can feel the enthusiasm in your post and it's making me even more excited!!

Oh...NORWAY!! lol It really is hard to list one. Especially in this group who is so open-minded!! ;)

Someone here mentioned that the Norway storyteller was supposed to be one of the best to see ;) lol yes open-minded of course! :rotfl:

We spent the most time in Morocco, Mexico, and Japan last time, so the ones I'm most looking forward to are (in no particular order):

1. Germany (the miniature railroad was under refurb last time so we missed it)
2. Italy
3. China
4. Norway (mostly closed off last time for FEA construction)
5. Canada
6. UK
7. The American Adventure (didn't even notice it last time!)
8. France (spent a bit of time here, but looking forward to more exploration)
9. Morocco
10. Mexico
11. Japan

I've definitely read that he cannot be missed! I did sneak a peak--but just the tiniest bit--on Youtube to get a glimpse. He does seem fabulous!! :santa:

@Iowamomof4 Your list is perfection!! haha It doesn't get any better than that! :-)

We had one little Grand-baby who normally sleeps every time he rides in his car seat, but would not nap in the stroller at the parks. He was too busy people watching. One afternoon, hot and cranky (him as well as us), we decided to take him into the Hall of Presidents show for a nap. I am not sure if he ever fell asleep, because all the grown ups fell asleep. When the lights came back up, everyone woke up and the 2 year old was bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Lol when I was a teen and we went to hall of presidents after I said to my parents "I can't believe you just made me sit through that." Not on my touring plan I'm afraid but might be great for a nap!

Japan and Germany mainly for food. And Mexico and Norway for rides. Also I want to try school bread.

@Lisa F thank you so much for the reply! (and YES I want the opinon! :))

you want comments? lol
for 12/4 I would keep 50's PT lunch and FP+ F! after RnR if the party isn't offered (but I know it will be).

Why would you keep the lunch? Is it because you can eat at the SWdesert party?

for 12/5 if you do 4:10 Teppan Edo there won't be time for a break and then to be back at 6. 4:10 seated by 4:15, done in an hour is 5:15, walk back to resort, you've got a break not worth the effort. If you really want to do TE then maybe see if you can swap for your later Tokyo Dining time. regardless, dinner in that slot whatever it is.

We plan to drop both ADRs for Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining. We will likely grab QS for dinner at Katsura grill instead.

for 12/6 I would not be doing park fare with dd at sandcastle club, it is way too much effort and too far away. I would honestly do either a nice dinner in the boardwalk area OR qs in the park and do park stuff. i wouldn't try to do dinner and then park stuff. I think it is too much stuff for one night. Highly recommend Tangierine cafe for CS dinner. super yummy and sorry I am missing it. For your FP+ I would book two earlier in the day tier 2's and let them expire and then try to book a tier 1 (SOARIN'!) for your mission space or spaceship earth slot. by that time of night most people have shifted to world showcase and anything tier 2 is going to not have a long enough wait to warrant a FP+. the tier 1 rides will still have long waits and require a FP+. as soon as you scan in your FP+ at FEA you will likely be able to pick up either TT or Soarin' for a "before illuminations evening slot". Even if you can't (which is a real possibility) I don't think it will impact your other plans to take the chance because you should be able to get on spaceship earth with little wait (and mission space if you want to but it does not sound like you really do). That is what I would do there, is try to get my butt on Soarin' in that time slot. Also sunshine seasons is not a bad choice for dinner either to be honest, it is not ethnic like world showcase but has good food.

1900 Park Fare will be dropped...it was a placeholder in case we wanted to do MVMCP on 12/8. But we are not doing the party so we will go back to our original date night plan with DD at Sandcastle club. We were planning for dinner in WS - Tangierine cafe is on the list for sure as DH and I love middle eastern food. Love your idea about the early FP tier 2 and letting expire and then riding SOARIN again! And yeah Mission space is a placeholder. We are planning to eat at Sunshine Seasons for lunch on our first Epcot day :)

12/7 you may not get a window table at narcoossees at that time of night. I think people will already be holding them for fireworks 90 minutes later. If you are ok with just stepping outside to watch that won't be a problem, you can have dessert at a less than prime table and go stand outside to watch. But honestly i'd leave more flexibility here... there are plenty of good non ADR free spots to watch the fireworks from around the lagoon. Pretty much any of the boat docks are good and don't require ADRs, so if it's getting too crowded in the park for you guys you can just take a boat to any of the resorts for a great view. Also the beaches are good too (and gator safe now). I have also read that the tiki terrace (i think that's what it's called, the outside seating of Trader Sam's) is a great place to watch and they might even pipe the music in. With a child your daughter's age I would not be booking an ADR so late even for dessert.

12/8 I'd do the 10:30 ohana and the rest looks good.

my opinions, worth exactly what you paid for them :)

I think I'll drop Narcoossees. I'm concerned about crowds as it's a non party night. But, I may decide to try one of the Beaches or what I'm REALLY hoping for is that the Gone Mad Party at the GF is still happening. DD is a huge Alice fan so this would be so much fun for her. Tiki terrace is an option but I think Trader Sams is adult only after 8pm?

Thank you EVERYONE. I'm going to list the ADRs I'm going to drop shortly. Let me know if anyone wants, and we can coordinate.

Just wanted to point out that our countdowns say 1 month plus weeks and days. I started off at like 470 some odd days, so this is very exciting seeing the numbers go this far down. We'll all be in our happy place so soon!!!

That makes me so happy!!! :flower1:

How's everyone doing with adrs? Anyone still searching for something?

I'm still looking for a 5pm H&V on 12/6. Also checking for a 4:30 or 5:00 Sci-Fi dinner on 12/3. :)

The only thing I'm still looking for is a slightly earlier Tusker House on 12/5. I have a 10:30 and I'd love it to be closer to 10-10:15 (not before 10 though). If I can't get it moved, we'll just show up a few minutes early and see if they can seat us. Not a big deal.
