***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

So for those who have little ones... Which rides in EPCOT did they like? I could not for the life of me figure out what tier 2 FPs to book...

Living with the Land, Character Spot, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk... :)

Agree with @pigletgirl and would add that my kids liked the Mexico boat ride the first year we went when the oldest was 5 and youngest just turning 4.

Anyone else care to share ride goals?

I have 2 sets- one adult (rider swap) goals and for my baby :D
Adult goals: TT, Soarin, 7DMT, Everest (RRR, Hulk, Forbidden Journey and Gringotts at Universal)
Baby goals: Dumbo, PP, Buzz, IASW, TSMM, Disney Jr, safari, triceratop spin, etc...

By the way, anyone has experience with bringing a little one to Pirates and Haunted Mansion?

My oldest son was 5 and my youngest son turned 4 on our first trip with kids. They went on pirates and HM . They were definitely nervous of the dark and gripping onto us like crazy. The next year when they were 6 and almost 5 they loved pirates and there was less clinging in terror in HM. This past April they were almost 6 and 7 and they were fine on just about everything we went on. They have different tastes in rides as the younger one loves the mountains and the older one prefers the more tame rides. Although they both love 7DMT...what's not to love!

There's quite a few things I'm iffy on with it just being us 2 adults. But I want to try to give everything a chance once! Well, almost everything.

Having gone with just the two of us before and now again, I will say that they only thing we wouldn't do is Disney Junior Live on Stage. We've gone into Turtle Talk and it can be really cute, but we adore children. Those that don't may not like it as much. Honestly, the entire theory is to become a kid again once you enter those gates, so nothing is really off limits (except age limit things). We like to explore it all (even the corny things some may not like).

I wonder if anyone would actually choose to go to Disney if they don't like children? :confused3

I think some things will just be penciled in but could be skipped if we don't have the time or if the wait is long. That's probably the best way to handle those iffy things.

Question! DO I have to make our whole groups FP's in the same park? Or can we make 4 of ours in, say, Epcot and 2 of ours in HS?
I just tried it and I was able to make it for two parks- MK under my name and DHS under DH
You would be correct, Candycane83, you can make them for two different parks. I've done it for another family. (They needed help planning.)

I have weird feelings about kids, but I still love going to Disney. Basically, I like the idea of kids and can enjoy being around them as they enjoy Disney, but I literally cannot describe the extent to which I absolutely have no interest in having kids myself. Other people's kids are like how my nieces and nephews are to me. They're precious to be around in measured doses, and I'm not really easily annoyed by them or anything, but I am so happy to go back home without them.

@JamieOak You would think that, but I've heard some nasty comments regarding children at the World.
Ditto! I can't believe how appalled some people are that there are children allowed in the Signature restaurants, for example. I love kids...and it's perfectly fine if there are people who don't ever want their own. One of my best friends has a license plate that says "NOKIDS", and she's actually had people leave nasty notes on her car. :sad2: Saying you don't want kids doesn't mean you hate children, but I guess people get upset if you don't think like they do.
Anyway, I love that almost everything at Disney is for all ages. I love to see a child's face when they get excited about a ride, or see the fireworks. I equally love being able to do what I want without worrying about another person's needs (well, except DH lol). You make a vacation what you want it to be, you know? That's what I love about Disney...everyone can enjoy the magic :)

To be clear, we're saying one person can have fastpasses in one park and another person can have fastpasses in a different park.
Yeah, that's good to know! In the past MDE hasn't allowed me to do that, so it's great that you can now.

Well, I've never actually DONE it, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. I mean, people travel together all the time but don't always stay glued at the hip. It's hard to imagine Disney would force an entire group to all choose the same park for each day. :confused3

If only I could put a love button on this :thumbsup2

Might be the process of booking it. I noticed that if you booked one and just click on same day, it will only pull up the same park choices. You have to exit out and view selections then make another FP in order to choose a different park.

Thanks for thinking of me @rasadkowski I am looking for CP lunch, but on 12/9. I have one for 6 already that day but it's early at 11:45 and was hoping to find a time a bit later.
Yes! I m searching for that one. :) But someone I swear posted for 12/7 a few days ago. I'll have to go back through the threads. I think the person said they were looking for sometime before 2? I thought maybe @BDFmom too. Hmmm

Can I ask a completely random non Disney related question? I thought some of you on here could suggest something. We have a birthday party for a 7 year old boy tomorrow. Any ideas what is popular with that group now? I asked his mom and she said he'd like anything we pick out... Sheesh. :) I was thinking Legos? What is the newest set in their brand? Anyone know? Any good books? He told my daughter he'd like a book. He's a really sweet boy, and i'd really like to get him something nice . Thanks and sorry if this crossed the "too random and off topic" line!!
