***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Yes! I think it's only in Main Street! That is a big draw for being in Main Street then... I wonder how hard will it be to move from main street to the hub for fireworks though. Fireworks look best at the hub I think.

It's a cool perspective to watch them from fantasyland though! But because it is a party, I'd try for the hub, otherwise, if its just Wishes, try fantasyland sometime!

We are having our kitchen remodeled this fall and I have depended on our designer to read my mind and give me the kitchen of my dreams. Seriously, we have been putting this off for years because the thought of picking out cabinets, counter tops, etc., was overwhelming to me. In fact, my husband and daughter picked out the cabinets, counter top and tile while I stood there, talking to the designer and refusing to look at all of millions of options. So we sign off for the final design this weekend and wait for the permits to be approved. Our designer works Saturdays and evenings, so I'm guessing that she has long days. But she has been great and I can tell she loves what she does.

Congrats and good luck! Remodeling is always stressful even if it goes smoothly. The truth is there isn't as much a million options as a lot of variations on a few themes. I live in new england so we do a lot of white shaker here but not all. My hours are 9-5 M-F which I'm lucky for but I will meet with people outside of those hours if they are nice and it is worth my time to (acting like you own my time will not get you that and neither will using me for free design advice)... also most people do not mind if I have to bring the kiddo along at odd hours, they are just glad I am willing to meet. My advice is just to try to go with the flow stuff happens. But I'm sure it will be beautiful when it is done. You might get sick of pizza!

We were at WDW on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving but I think we were at Epcot that day, where it was crowded.

Sigh... of course it was crowded. Sometimes I wonder why I bother going to wdw. Today's planning session is depressing me.

Oh well... dh wasn't exactly happy when I tried to talk him back into the Tuesday night party. I'll have to think on that one for awhile and decide if it's really worth it to keep that H&V reservation. I know the reviews have improved in the past year, but it's still just a buffet. We could always look for 1900 Park Fare or something along those lines instead.

Yes, I've seen the reports of long lines for characters. Is that what you're referring to or did you see something about rides?

I meant for attractions, lines were supposedly short.

How expensive do you think it would be to rent out the MK for one party night and invite all your 1st week of December thread friends? lol That would solve SO much!!

The Tuesday night parties tend to draw the "lowest" crowds. Just something to keep in mind.

@Lisa F DH is 6'2, and I'm 5'9, and I NEED my personal space. Between my size and my resting b***h face, people are usually pretty good about moving when I give them them the stink eye! I swear, even though I look mean, I'm actually really nice (unless you are too close to me...then the claws come out!!)

And yes, I protect my people! So yay for all of you guys. LOL

lol, you sound a bit like a friend of mine. she is about that height and has major resting b-face. For a while my BF thought she didn't like him due to something he did 25 years ago in college... maybe making some sarcastic comment or being a jerk or something (weren't we all when we were young?) I got tired of him whining about it and said something to her one day. She was like "what? oh, no. i bet that is my resting b-face." hers is something fierce.

No, it was in 2013, so that was a little while ago. We arrived the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we were surprised how crowded the parks were, although it was mostly MK and Epcot that were crowded.

Speaking of resting b-face, roomie cannot control hers, so when we are at Disney, you know she is hitting like supernova level b-face when she nonchalantly puts on her sunglasses indoors or in shady areas that are clearly not in need of sunglasses.

I am dreading the loss of a kitchen most of all. But I will love it when it is done. We are getting a new counter depth french door refrigerator which I am very excited about. I get tired of having frozen food fall on the floor when I am hunting through my current side by side unit. So having the frozen food in the drawer will be great.

is she intentionally hiding that she feels witchy? i think resting b-face is when you are not actually feeling witchy, just look that way because you are not putting on airs for anyone. I have both lol

Hey guys.. Asking for your opinion..
I passed on the canceled H&V yesterday for 545 for 4. It was the day I hoped for BUT... The main reason for wanting the dinner was to get into fantasmic. The holiday dine is a major plus!!! But, it was for 4 and I need 6 really.. ( could do 4 if we had to) ..also, without the package I thought 545 was a bit late to get in line for fantasmic.
What do you think? Was I wrong to really plan this hs evening for fantasmic? What's " better" and should really be a bigger priority ? H&V holiday dine or fantasmic?

you need to chill out. I say that with love. I get the same way... I want to fix it and fix it NOW. But you don't want to leave out 2/3 of your party. There is time. I need to look over your plans to answer the rest but it will be ok and you will have a great time. Maybe take a break from planning (we will keep vigilant on watching for the ADRs). If it's not fun and stressful take some deep breaths and come back.

She has the resting b-face to begin with, but tends to not have it so much at Disney because she's so excited, but then it's like when we are in a line or people watching or whatever, there is a clear moment where she goes from slight resting b-face to actual b-face that says "I'm tired, and these kids/people/birds/heat/whatever are starting to annoy me. Time for shades."

That's my "tired at disney" face which is virtually the same as my resting b-face.

now you all know kiddo's name. If you hear me yelling it you will know it is me. Everyone on the island knows his name because I'm always calling it. we walk into stop and shop and everyone is all like "Hi, Grant!"
