***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I get that @Karla07559 ...I thought I was good with what I had originally planned, until I got here and suddenly starting convincing myself I needed some extras I didn't originally budget for LOL

bwahahahaha!!! That made me spit my water!!!

Yikes!!! Glad his boss had his back.... phew
I know...it sounds awful hoping to "profit" off of someone else's misfortune. But it's true! I got 3 of my ADR's from people on the DIS that had to cancel, or push vacations out past Christmas.

@areno79 WHEW! That is a scare! It's a toss up between the work situation and those mosquitos turned birds as to which is scarier! lol So glad your boss had your DH's back!! Can you imagine cancelling those hard-won ADRs! Now that's a nightmare!

No dining plan for us. We considered it when looking at our dates to see if free dining could be a cost savings, but even paying rack rate with no dining was less expensive for us than the room rates with free dining the following week.

I'm actually grateful we had already made that call before booking most of our ADRs because with the times I ended up getting for some things, we won't be eating heavy enough during some meals to get the bang for our buck with the dining plan.

I know @Talby , that was my first thought...what about my ADR's?!?! :rotfl2: DH is an integral part of the project, so if they don't delay it (which his VP and he think is likely), he may have to answer some emails while we're in Disney. I told him I will not stop our vacation for work...otherwise it's not a vacation! Luckily he has a work cell phone so if we're standing in line and he needs to answer something urgent, he can without too much of an issue.

Forgot to mention, I had a scare earlier...DH came home from work today and apparently the big global project he's been working on for 2 years has a go-live date of 12/9...when we'll be in Disney!! :furious:They asked him to change his dates, but thankfully he pushed back, and his boss had his back. We chose this week specifically because this project was supposed to be done, and it worked for my work schedule too. I can't imagine trying to start all over with my ADR's and everything!!

OMG I would just cry if this happened to anyone on here! We have all worked so hard it would break my heart!

I had my first Disney dream last night! I dreamed I was with a big group of people and received a message that our tram was ready to take us to Club Cool (remember, it's a dream, it doesn't have to make sense) except our group leader wasn't around yet and so I was afraid to say anything because I didn't want to step on her toes. A few minutes later I looked out the door and saw a tram sitting there and told some of the ladies I thought that was our ride. A couple of them went out to check and found out it was there to pick up other people and we had missed ours. Then the group leader showed up and she was all upset about something Disney had done and she didn't know what she was going to do, blah, blah, blah... She didn't seem the least bit concerned we had all missed our tram because we were waiting for her.

** I've never been to Club Cool. :rolleyes1

It must have been the night for nonsensical Disney dreams! Haha

Let's talk days. I tried to pick our days based on really early crowd calendars and last years crowds. Those that will be there around 12/15- 12/22, what days are you going where? We get in Thursday night and this is my plan:
12/16 (Friday) MK until 7 (not attending Christmas party because we get in late the night before)
12/17 Epcot
12/18 MVMCP
12/19- Sleep in, Ohana breakfast, Pool/Break day, move to AKL, Lunch at Sanaa, Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Fort Wilderness for Sing Along and Sleigh Ride
12/20 AK or HS?
12/21 AK or HS?

12/20 and 12/2 will be packed I think since it is so close to Christmas, and I can't decide which one to do which day! I am kind of holding out on a decision until we hear about ROL, I guess. I really don't want to end our last day early, so if no ROL or late hours at AKL we would either go there 12/20 and end our last night at HS w/ Star Wars Fireworks, or the other option would be to go to HS 12/20, then got to AK 12/21 followed by hopping to MK at night for Wishes but no MSEP. The next night is the last party so I have a feeling MK will be packed on 12/21 with Late night EMH.
Help me decide!

I'll be doing the backstage magic tour on Dec. 2nd, and that will be my last visit to Disney......for 2016.
Is that the same as the Keys to the Kingdom tour? I've thought about doing something like that, but I don't want to ruin the smoke and mirrors :rolleyes1

We've talked about ADRs, FP+,SDFP, bags, Disney's refusal to update schedules, motion sickness and so much more....

Have we discussed grocery orders? I've been putting a cart together with garden grocer. So far .... Milk, half and half, orange juice, soda, bananas, grapes, bagels, and a bottle of wine. Only my son eats breakfast, my daughter will have a glass of juice and I MUST have coffee. I'll bring cereal, paper bowls/plates, silverware, a coffee mug and wine glass from home. Am I forgetting anything?

Love, love, love all the Disney dreams!

Just some info about H&V F!...
I called to switch my regular H&V dinner to the F! package. The CM tells me he'd be happy to do that for me after I explain I was fretting over letting it go myself, concerned someone else would scoop it up in the moments it took to release the regular one and snatch up the F! package. The snag is he tells me there is no more H&V F! availability (at this moment; could change as people cancel). So I couldn't just switch it through them and I'm too reluctant to let the regular one go; it was so hard earned! lol While using a fast pass is certainly an option to see F! if opting for the regular H&V dinner, FP will not be the preferred VIP seating that is part of the F! dining package. So many factors to consider. I know many here are wanting H&V (with and w/o F!), so I thought I'd pass it on to consider as you weigh out the options! :-)
F! is the easiest SDFP to get. I would not fret and just get the FP if I were you

I am a bit worried about motion sickness too on Mission Space. I hear green is less intense?

MIssion Space Orange is from the devil, I tell you! DH, our son, and my SIL loved it and wanted to get right back on to ride again. My daughter and I, though, spent the next 3-4 hours trying not to be sick. I'll never ride Orange again! I don't even have a big desire to do green again, either.

My husband loves it, though, especially since his job is writing software for various stuff up on the space station.
