***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Thank you! I really do hope BOG opens up on the 10th. I'd much rather go then! Plus, since I've never seen the Christmas parade before, I'm not gonna lie, I would love the flexibility to watch it twice if I wanted to!

The first time we ever went to MVMCP we did the parade twice.

Hi everyone! Have only peeked in a little the last couple days from my phone. My girl had surgery bright and early this morning. She is a former 24-week preemie (4 months premature; weighed 1 pound 7 oz at birth) and spent 151 days in the NICU. As a result of one of her many surgeries as a newborn, she has a paralyzed vocal cord. She speaks with a soft voice and it's had it's challenges throughout the years (she's 17). People who don't know her often ask "Do you have a cold, honey?", to which she usually replies yes so as to avoid having to explain the whole thing! (it's just easier sometimes!) Anyway...the nutshell version is that today she underwent surgery that will help her have a stronger voice. :-) We won't really know the full effects for about a week, but she handled surgery like a champ, is recovering well, and we're all really excited for her! :-)

Have only really skimmed through, but looks like I have LOTS of great stuff to catch up on! YAY!! I just love how active this thread is and how everyone bounces ideas off each other! Real quick though @Lisa F...I am IN LOVE with that back pack! Is it possible for me to get my hands on one?!

Sending good vibes your way! I hope she has an easy recovery.

Awwww...you guys are really awesome. I'm all teary-eyed and full of gratitude. Thank you so much for the kind words and well wishes for my daughter. I'm truly touched by your kindness. Thanks, pals. :-)

Glad your daughter's surgery went well!! I hope she continues to heal well and the surgery was successful :)

@Lisa F

This will be my first time enjoying the booze in Disney! The first trip two years ago we had just our DD1 who was about 15 months, and then last year I was expecting!

I want to get my hands on a Grand Marnier slush! They look divine! Also, an Avocado margarita doesn't sound too shabby either. ;)

99 days!

Also, just found out my parents finally set up their MDE! I've told everyone in our party that they're each family will be doing their own FP's. Dining was hard enough, I just cannot imagine trying to book everyone at the same time for the same ride. SIL and her family may pair up with us for a few things, but they have a different rhythm that we do and we'll all save each other some grief.

Ooh, is anyone planning any time at Universal? We ended up purchasing the express pass.

you are a smart lady! It's good to have meals together and then go off and do your own thing. There are plenty of non FP things that you can do together too like shows and fireworks.

I'm with @Lisa F ; group vacations can be so stressful if everyone expects one person to be the ringleader. Much better to let everyone do their own thing and save your own sanity!

DH and I are going to Universal/IOA for one day. I am actually really shocked at how expensive tickets are for one day, but I guess that's par for the course! I'm waffling on the Express Pass though...looking at crowd calendars for the day we're considering going, it looks like it's going to be very low crowds. We're not big roller coaster enthusiasts, but we do want to go on the 3D rides, and we're mainly we're there for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

Sending good thoughts to you and your daughter, @Talby

Would love to go to Universal again - I love the vibe there and HP and all of the other motion-simulator/experience rides are all awesome (I skipped the big coasters). But, this trip is for my nephew. I went with him, my sister, and brother-in-law for a week in November 2016. It was a whirlwind:
Saturday: AK and EP (only Future World with FP+)
Sunday: HS and MK (MVMCP)
Monday: had planned for beach but it rained so Dave&Busters and DTD
Tuesday: Legoland
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Universal (one morning we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's)

Since I haven't even experienced all of WDW in 3 different trips, we're spending all of our time there this trip. Plus, you really only get a good deal on Uni tickets if you go multiple days. At my work, we deals where you get 3 days free if you buy 2, etc. Can also get WDW tix, but I haven't purchased mine yet.

ARGH!!! I went to buy my airfare this morning and price went up $75 per person!!! Guess I'm waiting a little longer.....

Great plan! That'll cut a bit of the waiting for each other :)

We're staying at universal for the first three nights of our stay. :) excited to try what they have to offer as well :)

They have the toothsome chocolate factory opening! The desserts look incredible. We may end up trading in cow fish in favor of that. I LOVE chocolate!

that is why I haven't gone yet (in years and years - I did go probably more than a decade ago)... When your passes are 5 days or so at disney it is like $10 to add on a day vs. it would have been $200 to take my kid to universal (maybe more now, that was 2 years ago). Plus kiddo is a bit young for harry potter. some day when he is into it (and I'm sure he will be) I will take him for sure. Dying to see it myself actually! Wow I see it is now more than $300 for one day for both of us. Definitely going to wait until the kiddo is VERY into it!
