***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

ARGH!!! I went to buy my airfare this morning and price went up $75 per person!!! Guess I'm waiting a little longer.....
Airfare has been a tough one for this trip for us. I had been watching like a hawk for a cheap flight home and I was finally able to get one ticket for DH for $79 while I wanted for days for a second cheap ticket to go on sale. Finally, yesterday morning another seat went on sale so now we both have tickets home from Orlando. But our flight down on Saturday, Dec 3rd is still more expensive then I would like it to be. My ticket cost $118 and DH's cost $138. Once again, I was not able to get two seats on sale for the flight down. I have seen the early part of December have really low rates in the past, so I am wondering when SWA will put December on sale this year.

my flights have only gone up in price since I booked. I booked right when it opened and paid about $445 for two round trip tickets. Now it would be $755 but was over $800 a while ago. Of course with a kid and with the ferry and all that nonsense I have to be picky about when I travel and traveling when everyone else wants to be doesn't help. Good luck and hope you get your cheap flights!

They have the toothsome chocolate factory opening! The desserts look incredible. We may end up trading in cow fish in favor of that. I LOVE chocolate!
I did see that and plan to go there one night! Dessert looks awesome :) can't wait to read some reviews

I have not booked my airfare yet. Looking at it, it would cost around C$1500 to C$1700! :sad2: I'm going to opt using miles to redeem our tickets in a few days hopefully...

We got our airfare $99 each way on direct flights. I've been watching hoping to change our flight home to a later one but the fares have only gone up.

Anyone know if they still have the mini crème brulee at the Wishes Dessert parties?

I am sure you know, but with your direct flight home that early, you will need to bring your luggage on tragical express and check it in yourself. We had that flight and changed to the later flight (although it is not non stop).

Yes... I know. If we keep the early flight I was actually planning on taking an Uber to the airport. I would like to change to the 6:30 pm flight.... and get an extra 1/2 day at Disney.

does that mean whatever was potentially standing in the way is no longer potentially standing in the way?

I don't think anyone here has been super recently... I would post on the dining board and see if you can catch the attention of someone who has.

Our R/T flights for 3 are $1200. Eek!:scared1: I could reduce that significantly if I was willing to drive to Chicago or Detroit. Here in Kalamazoo, we're roughly half-way between the two and it would be about a 2-1/2-hour drive to either. I'm not willing to do that by myself with the kids in Michigan December weather though. Nope, NOT happening! lol So we're flying to Chicago first which is seriously only like 20 minutes, it's so quick, then direct to Orlando from there. Arrival day has us landing in Orlando by noon and our flight home takes off at 2ish, so I'm super happy with flight times. :woohoo:

Me 3! My husband and I both love chocolate. We are spending our first 2.5 days at Universal, staying on site there for the express passes. We will be there black friday and saturday after thanksgiving, so the express passes should be helpful since the crowds are high.

Mine too. He doesn't want to know about any planning. He thinks that because I am doing all this planning it's not a vacation and he thinks it's not worth the trouble. I get frustrated because I'm doing this for my family and not feeling appreciated.

Honestly, a big part of the reason I joined here was that my kids were thinking I was talking about Disney TOO much! I mean...how is that a thing? lol They don't understand why I keep going over and over things. "Isn't it already planned, mom?" We had a great time going over menus and different extras, and I still ask their opinion when I'm looking to shake things up in some way, but to them it's all set so no point in rehashing things. There are so many details to obsess over still!! :-)

@BDFmom Did I read that you are looking for H&V F! for dinner? (Sorry, I've gone back through and can't find it now but I think that was you). If so, what date are you looking for and how many; is it 4?

Same here, we're staying at RPR but week after Thanksgiving. :) I'm really looking forward to it and trying the yummy things over there too like butterbeer ice cream! :D

LOL, this is my DH. His words are why are you asking me again or the dreaded 'it's ok'... :sad2:

We are looking for 11/28.... we are a party of 3. I would take a 12/4 and switch our DHS day... I currently have a MM with F! booked for the 11/28.

DH is staying home.... He abhors parks and Disney. So it's just me and the kiddos.

So funny! Just really grateful there are others of like mind! No detail is really too small around here. Page after page dedicated to park bags or snacks for example. It's WONDERFUL and so FUN!! My excitement level for our trip is always up a notch or 10 after poking around here for a while. :-)

That is where we are staying too. We are both so excited for everything Harry Potter!
