***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Hmm, if I don't need to go to the front desk to activate it, then I would probably just go to Kona and then MK that morning...
I don't think you do, and if you are having a problem with the band you may just be able to go to guest services at any resort to see why.

So I was looking into touring DHS... What are you guys picking for Tier 2 FP+?? ToT and Star Tours is out for me... I was initially thinking Disney Junior but I heard the seats were bad. Frozen Sing along maybe? Indiana Jones? Muppets? As you can see, I'm thoroughly confused.

ToT and Star Tours. Lol.

it is probably not necessary but I think Muppets and Indiana Jones are also on my list of things to do. The beauty and the beast show? have you seen the FP thread that prioritizes?

Yes, I've seen it! Still can't decide based on that. LOL! But like you said, I would probably do Frozen... And maybe Indiana Jones... we're doing one full day at DHS only... and one night for the dessert party hopefully...

I didn't think so. I think the only thing is you need to make sure to check OUT of your old resort in order for your online checkin at your new resort to be active.

I'm pretty convinced this is what messed us up last year. I didn't realize how critical this step was (in fact, my TA never told me I should do it, she was more concerned that I go check IN at the new resort) and we were messed up while we were at DHS that day. Very frustrating! If we end up at Pop Century before moving to AoA, we'll be sure to both check OUT at Pop and then check IN at AoA before heading out. I'll also be stopping at the gift shop or food court at AoA to make sure we have both charging privileges and access to our dining plan.

Hmm this convinces me even more to go to CR before MK...

MK crowd levels for 11/29 and 12/5 are both listed as 9....

I will be there on 12/5. I figured it would be busy since it is a non party day. Luckily we got the ADRs we wanted. We will be there later in the week as well on 12/8 for MVMCP but will be there again all day so we should get to do everything.

We're there on dec 8 for the party as well! :)

I'm doing MVMCP on 12/8 also :) I'm planning to do the non-party night stuff the night before on 12/7 and the party on 12/8 and then the daytime "day of party under less crowds" stuff on 12/9. Those are my poly nights so focusing MK then.

It finally happened! I had my first dream about packing and worried about being late for our flight. My stress about travel dreams, have to leave for the airport in 10 minutes and not packed at all. gah!

That's so weird because I had one last night too. Only we were had arrived at a really crappy hotel and I didn't even have the Magicbands or anything planned. That definitely won't be how things happen I'm sure! What a weird nightmare, but kind of relevant because I really don't have anything planned yet except the major items: flights, tickets, and hotel reservations.

that may be just fine depending on your travel style. Dining is very important to us and of course I want to do the popular places. We need that structure too - with my aspergers kid it is hard to be flexible about EVERYTHING. I need to know when and where I am going to be able to sit us down and get him fed and he of course has a long list. I think really the thing you should try to get organized is fast passes if you want to see some of the hard attractions. The rest of it, depending on your style, you can get away with not planning at all. I used to like those kinds of trips lol.

My dream, we were in a parking lot 10 minutes from newark airport and my ex was return my son and my luggage and I had everything in plastic garbage bags. He was late and I was trying to organize all of my stuff from the bags to the luggage, make sure we had everything, organize it for my split stay, one of the bags looked very tall and I was worried it would be oversized... had to leave to get to the flight very very soon or maybe were already late. Woke up in a cold sweat lol.

Oh my I hope you don't continue to have that dream! I am a planner type and dreams about being unprepared occur a lot and are horrible!

I'm trying to be chill about being "being" most people in planning. We are not set on any super popular dining, plus I understand that people drop ADRs closer to the date as plans finalize. It's difficult, as has been mentioned on here, when Disney's information doesn't seem to be final or is missing (SW dessert party, RoL, etc.)

I'm mostly worried that I'm planning too many early mornings and late nights, but my husband said "We are young, we'll be fine!" Afternoon naps will likely be scheduled. :)

I'm not sure what you consider young, lol. I think as long as you have a break you'll be fine. We are starting off early with RD the first couple of days with earlier nighttime activities and then with our first break day (I have two break days with evening activities) we will begin to shift toward the nighttime activities. I think this will work out ok. By the end of the trip we'll hopefully be sleeping in but staying up til midnight. Then time to shift it back when we get home, lol. I'm 42. I hope that's not too old for that schedule ;)

Speaking of planning, planning, planning...

I recently moved a majority of my itinerary around to accommodate a different MVMCP night in fear of missing two non-refundable events including the dessert party pending reviews after all the SouthWest computer issues, bad weather by me that moved my friends JetBlue flight, and the fact that I will traveling in December :o

As a result, I am interested in seeing IllumiNations at another time on my trip, if possible. Being a semi-rookie, I am wondering if this will be doable. I want to try and see IllumiNations after being in HS and viewing the Star Wars fireworks. Now, I know the fireworks have not "officially" been extended, and parties are not released, but if I go off of September information that the show starts 15 minutes after Fanstasmic!, and Fantasmic! is at 7pm in December, that means a possible 7:15pm Star Wars fireworks show and currently scheduled 9:30pm IllumiNations.

Does this seem doable by foot or boat to the Boardwalk and entering through the International Gateway or bus to main entrance?

Finally, my Southwest flight down to Orlando dropped in price and I got to get a refund of 10,700 reward points just for changing that flight for the 2 of us. Flights back home, on the other hand, all increased. So I'll still be checking daily. It's just nice to actually see a reward for all the daily checking!

From the current times, I'm pretty sure you would be able to make it. I think someone mentioned it takes only 20-30 mins to walk?? Don't quote me on it but I'm sure it does not take that long to get there. We've taken the boat and it may take a little longer because it stops at 3 hotels. Robo has a lot of great maps to show you how to walk there, you just need to search for the right thread :)
