From the HUB
New for Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2016, Guests will be able to meet Santa Claus at the park. The classic, star-studded stores along Sunset Boulevard are the perfect place for holiday shopping and the beautiful and vintage setting of the Once Upon A Time shop reflects the bygone days of his visits to some of the great department stores across the country. Santa Claus will be making his list and checking it twice Nov. 14 through Dec. 24. Santa Goofy steps in for Old Saint Nick when he returns to the North Pole Dec. 25 – 31.

for those wondering about santa options. This could be a great place to see him!

Well, I just asked my TA to book the dessert party for us for 12/3. We're still debating it but it seems like we need to book now, decide later. I want to hear some reviews before we decide for sure. I'm still very frustrated about the SW fireworks, but at the same time we need to just make the best of everything at this point. I'm perking up a bit with the idea of character(s) being at the party.

someone posted that the characters will be wayne and laney, the elves. I found prep & landing on amazon prime so if you have it, you can watch the movies for free. I agree with book now, decide later. Kenney the Pirate is going on the opening night so we should have reviews as soon as humanly possible... his reviews are quite no-nonsense and it takes a lot for him to endorse an extra for pay event like this (he did like the SWaGS party)

It actually looks really nice and wish we could be in HS two nights to take advantage of this! We're not getting park hoppers and we are only in the park one night and I had decided on Fantasmic because the kids could sit and enjoy the show (plus it doesn't cost us anything out of pocket). I actually think my kids would have liked this better than Star Wars, but we're going to stick with our Fantasmic. If i'd been in the park the night everyone going on 12/3, I think it might be a different story, but we don't arrive until 12/4!

So wait, are Wayne and Laney = Prep & Landing or are those two different sets of characters?

Yes, H&V is one credit regardless of whether or not you add Fantasmic to it. I checked this before I booked mine :-)
Ok, that's what I thought, but for some reason I had a momentary panic! Too many details in my head!

Yep, the CM on the phone told me Lanny and Wayne would be at the party. I'll definitely check them out on Amazon Prime!

Is 15 min enough time to do both?
From all reports, no. They scheduled them that way so people wouldn't try to watch one then run and crowd the other event.

TP just notified me of an Ohana reservation and I grabbed it (that was the first time the link in the email actually worked and I didn't get the "someone ate the page" page). I had it searching for a date range and now I realize it's for 12/3 so it's probably not going to work. Leave Epcot via monorail for a 3:30pm Ohana ADR, go back to Epcot via monorail, leave Epcot out the IG and walk or boat over to HS to get there probably just in time for the dessert party? Eh, that doesn't sound very fun. I'll keep looking for another Ohana!
