***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

We never did rider swap. Last time we just went on the rides that the kids we big enough to go on.

So the Muppets opened today in Liberty Sq. here's the video if anyone is interested:

I have to say, I really like it. Been a big muppets fan since I was kid. Their brand of humor just appeals to me.
I saw the video this morning and DH thought it was really cool. He doesn't get excited about much but he does love Muppetvision 3D at HS.

Actually, we're doing 11/29 for sure (no tickets yet though) and then I thought we might go again either on 12/4 or, more likely, 12/6.

Oh, that's right! Hmm, I was pretty sure there was someone else going to EMM on 12/4 besides me...but I can't remember who! @rasadkowski maybe?

Aw, thank you! That makes sense. I was a little skeptical that it would work but it sounds like it shouldn't be too complicated for us as 4. My son will be 3 (his bday is this week) so he will have his own fast pass but is only 38 inches and not tall enough for a lot. At least we can do 7DMT together.

I will do this for sure for us then at MK (prob just for splash and Btrr and I will try to SDFP Space mountain) and HS since I was going to Star Tours and tower of terror. We will all do toystory there all together.
That's sounds like a great plan! I didn't mean to give the impression that we will be 2 groups of 2 our entire trip. We do actually like spending time together as a family (most of time:laughing:).

We were at DW over 2 years ago and our DS2 was only a twinkle in our eyes at that point. We were able to move around the parks really well with DD(6 at the time). My only reason for doing it this way is because I've come to the realization that touring with our toddler will probably mean moving at a little slower pace and I was just trying to offset that with any time-savers I can.

@Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL i hear you on slow touring. I think we'll be plenty slow with our newly potty trained 3 year old. On the 2nd half of our trip my friend and her also newly trained 3 year old join us, so I'm with anything that speeds stuff up (esp child swap where it makes sense and SDFP) are musts for us

Hey everyone!

Just checking in to say hi. :) We're having a nice visit. My grandmas is all settled in her new place. She's had moments where she gets nervous because she isn't quite sure where she is, but I'm happy to report that her mentation is improving somewhat. She still believes that DD2 is DD1, and she's not sure at this point who DD1 is, despite us telling her. I'm glad I decided to make the trip, it has given me a lot of peace of mind. We will be home Tuesday afternoon.

On the Disney front, my mom and I are firm in our plans. The only thing we've done is drop 'Ohana, and we found a 12:30 GG lunch for a 6:45 CP show. After the show, we found an ADR for Spice Road Table (another new place for us).

Hope you are well, and good luck to those who have FP day coming up! Can't wait to share plans. :)

Aww, I'm so glad you are having a nice visit and your grandmother is doing better than you expected.

Hi everyone,
just a quick check-in after a weekend away. It was an absolutely brutal, stressful week at work and a stressful getaway from the island with lots of traffic and bad weather and bus issues that almost made me miss my ferry if I hadn't run into a contractor i know who gave me a ride to the boat... but went to a lovely wedding with amazing people (both the bride and groom and the guests) and unfortunately got completely hammered (brutally stressful week followed by an open bar of selected lovely vintage cocktails with kiddo with his dad fro the weekend was surely karma, just not sure which direction it went lol) and today am feeling pretty awful but luckily bf drove and I could sip water and doze in the car, which I needed badly. I should be feeling better tomorrow after a good night's sleep just in time to do it all over again next week (minus the "getting hammered" part). So glad I still have homemade chicken soup in my fridge for dinner tonight.

I did read in between dozing so I am caught up... Hoping I can get FEA on 12/5 and looking for 7:30-8:30 so hoping the time I want will help me. other than that I still don't know what i want, I suspect except for 7DMT, FEA and my AK day (which is my best planned)there will be a lot of moving around for me until I settle in. Good luck to @Candycane83 @areno79 and anyone else (sorry those are the only two I remember offhand). Hopefully we are all reporting back good news tomorrow.

Also... about slow touring, I'm right there with you. Kiddo is not a fast walker. I am not going to stress him into moving fast if he is tired. we get there when we get there. it's vacation. Hakuna Matata!

also in other news although this may only effect me here... for the 45th AP and DVC discounts are now 20% off on merchandise at disney shops and there is a whole list of restaurants that are 20% off as well (for AP only from what i understand). Half of my OOP stuff is on the list - Sanaa, Whispering Canyon, Kona Cafe so that is a nice little bonus (though I was planning on the previous 10% discount for those anyway... 'Ohana, Crystal Palace and HDDR are not on the list) I think I am the only DVC member here? and kiddo has the AP but maybe @Wood Nymph at the very least is an AP given how often she goes. Not sure who else it might effect. every little bit helps and hope this helps someone else out on this thread!

you're checking in on 12/3 right? i'm 12/2 lol. I have only checked the calculators like 3 times and not in a month so just making sure!

We used child swap the last 2 years and it was so awesome! But kind of confusing to get it all planned. My older daughter really liked it because she was able to ride the big rides twice. I can see how having more people would make it even more confusing.
Last August we were in Magic Kingdom for 1 day. We did rope drop and left at 11:30 and came back at 4:30. We rode most rides in that small amount of time. Without child swap there's no way we would have been able to accomplish what we did.

Love hearing this experience, @JainaAlice. We are planning 3 days in the parks, but they won't be long ones. We're doing several hour chunks here and there so it sounds like this child swap will be good for us too!

Ugh, perfect combo for a hangover! Hopefully you're feeling back to normal tomorrow!

I am kind of freaking out about tomorrow morning. I feel so unprepared!! It would really help if I had some idea what I wanted to do on our last 2 days there. Right now I'm torn between MK and Epcot, but part of me says to try for FEA on both days. I left them open on purpose in case we're tired, but I feel like if I'm not touring I'm wasting time/money. Plus I got my hair done today that took twice as long as I expected, got a new iPhone I've spent the last 2 hours setting up...all makes for a feeling of unpreparedness which I hate!
