***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Completely random thought.. But does anyone know exactly why RoL has been soooo delayed? Just technical difficulties? I can see if Disney has never done a show like this before, but then again, maybe it's so new and fascinating they really haven't?
The musings I heard ranged from sinking barges to some barges not fitting under bridges, to some type of GPS malfunction where the barges weren't going where they were supposed to go or not moving at all.

I added a day to the beginning and even if I COULD get a room at BWV it would have completely messed up my DxDDP plans by giving me another 3 TS each to deal with. My plan only added one meal so you can see the problem.

PLUS I am already planning another split stay so this is my packing plan:
3 bags:
1 large duffel bag (vera bradley size) with toiletries, one set of pjs and one change of clothes for both of us (basically an overnight bag).
1 suitcase with clothing for first half of the trip
1 suitcase with clothing for second half of the trip

night 1 AKL: open only overnight bag, repack it when ready to go
night 2 BWV: unpack suitcase 1 into drawers, repack dirty clothes into it as I go. unpack toiletries.
night 6 Poly: repack toiletries, unpack suitcase 2 into drawers, repack dirty clothes into it as I go.
this should minimize the packing thing.

If I didn't have DVC points I would have stayed off site.
LOL, I basically have a similar plan with packing. 2 suitcases one carry on. half suitcase for first part of stay (3 nights), half for toiletries and baby's misc stuff, half for second part of stay (3 nights) and another half for my last part (6 nights).

So now that we've decided to go down a day early, what do we think the chances are of some resort availability opening up? I need to add 12/3 to my existing All Star Music reservation, but so far no luck. Movies and Sports have a preferred room available that night, but I think I'm gonna hold out as long as possible to see if I can just add onto my existing stay so we don't have to move. Plus, if we have to move, I'm thinking we'll just get a cheap off site room for that night if we have to pack back up anyway.
You could try one of the hotels near Disney Springs if you don't find something. I believe they have availability if you get in a bind.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna do some research and make myself a short list so that if nothing opens up at ASMu, I have some pegged to check.

I think I have finally narrowed down my dinning plans. Basically, I need to decided on 3 different BOG dinners and 2 CP times. We have the dinning plan and plan to share a couple of meals to extended our credits and payless out of pocket. The rest of the meals will be filled in with QS credits.

what do you guys think? There are so many choices at Disney it was hard to narrow the list. I may trade for a TH late breakfast (close to lunch turn over) on 12/3 and move the Yak & Yeti to a dinner.

for november 29th I would be tempted to move lunch to more like 2pm if you can... my rule of thumb is to space meals about 6 hours apart and it puts lunch pretty much right in between breakfast and dinner.

I would do this:

Wednesday November 30, 2016
Chefs de France Dinner 4:20 PM
Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace 9:00 PM

because more time between dinner and dessert

Sunday December 4, 2016
Be Our Guest Dinner 6:20 PM

assuming you are NOT doing party this night, it's a great way to really extend your MK time and get the most out of what will be an otherwise quiet park day. it also spaces your BoG meals apart by a week (the earlier one is just a few days later).

A Buffet with Character Dinner at The Crystal Palace 5:45 PM

@LisaF Thank you.... I moved the Skipper to 2:15 :) You are correct that is much better timing!

Great ideas and advice!

Random MVMCP ticket question. We got our actual cards in the mail for the party, however if the tickets are linked up to our MagicBands do I need to bring the physical cards?

I've heard the recommendation is "yes, bring them". You likely won't need them, but it can make it easier to get in on party night if you use the physical cards or if there's any issues with MDE that day you'll also be covered by having the actual tickets with you.

I can help with this! I recently asked this, too! The hard tickets are a backup. No need to use them if your tickets are on the bands. What they are good for is if for some strange reason your tickets aren't showing up or scanning, you can show the hard tickets at guest services :)

Oops! Posted same time !

So random question...You can't overlap your FP with your ADR now, right?
I had wondered this too. I asked on the fp thread a few weeks ago, and someone said Adrs do not affect fp selection. I was concerned about this because when you choose fp it reminds you of plans that day, including adrs.... I think this is what you are referring too :)

Yes! I just read on an article on disney food blog that ADRs and FPs will not conflict anymore but maybe they are just mentioning that it will prompt you/ remind you that you ahve an ADR... :confused3

It lets you know what ADR and time you have scheduled if it's at the same time but lets you book it no problem. This happened for or BOG lunch yesterday :)

It was actually helpful to have that shown - wish they would show you the other FP you have booked in that same window!

Hmm... I thought you could not overlap for FPs? or is this for different sets of people? (rider swap?) :)
