***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

She's just not into parades. We're going to attempt Festival of Fantasy and the Move It! Shake It! party (because of the Zootopia characters). But those are during the day. I know it would be oodles of fun (especially with new friends!) but I asked her again and she said no.

I don't like the daytime parades as much but maybe we'll FP it on our last day, might not be a bad thing to do when we are tired and get a good viewing spot.

@areno79 I know! I am so tempted lots to think about these next few weeks. I don't think we'd be back for another 5 years, and then I'd really love to go for the Halloween party. I may regret not doing the xmas party now. Especially when I'm certain it's something my 6 year old will remember .... If she's awake that is!!! Choices choices!!

I took my 5 yo cousin to MNSSHP back in 2009, and while I was skeptical as to how she'd do, she did awesome!! She loved the party atmosphere, and lasted until almost the end of the party. She still remembers it and talks about what a fun time she had, especially riding Haunted Mansion like 4 times that night

Remind me what night y'all are talking about doing the Christmas party? I know it isn't the same night as mine, but I've lost track.

@areno79 im leaning against the dessert party too like @Lisa F since it really does not seem worth it with the mediocre view of wishes. I also will let go of my ohana reservation at 3:30 for that day, let me know when you want to coordinate. DH is just getting gas now so I'm typing as quickly as I can before he finishes or I get car sick when he starts driving again

Do you have another ADR that night? I have a 5:55 ADR at CP currently that I'd be happy to give to you.

You can FP the following:
Belles tales
Ariel's grotto
Princess Hall: 1 FP for Cinderella/Aurora, 1 FP for Rapunzel/Tiana

Merida is get in line and wait. It's suggested to do it at her first appearance at 9:30am so get in line at 9am. I am thinking of doing this on my first day at MK and then going to PP or vice versa since the PP standby gets stupid long.



Guys...you are making me want to do the xmas party. And it's doable...I just have to juggle my 1900 Park Fare dinner.....Argh!

Haha--took me a minute (it's not you, it's me!) but that is SoOoOoOo clever of you! lol I edited to add an extra ear since poor last Mickey was missing one!

Does anyone see hidden Mickeys in your day-to-day life? We seem to spot them all the time, it's so funny. Recently my DD had a small bruise on her calf that was shaped like Mickey!

you have been so back and forth on it, I don't want to be guilty of talking you into something you don't want to do, lol. The parades are fun though... is your DD not into them? If you go when we go there will be glow bracelets and who knows what else might appear for any littles

Hmm when is MSEP stopping? The people who had a dining package were offered special viewing area for FoF. I think that's how this rumor started.

it's still a rumor but we'll probably see once MSEP stops.

After the review of the Hollowishes party I'm leaning towards cancelling my regular Wishes Dessert party....
I've found out they no longer serve crème brulee as one of the desserts. That was a huge draw for us. It seems that the dessert offerings have really gone downhill with the price increase. Bummer

Sounds like the best plan of attack is to gather a group and take shifts holding spots for the parade and Fireworks...

Ok...I'll keep my eyes open for something a little earlier for you; if I see something I'll grab it. Also, you may try to go a little early and see if they'll let you in. Never hurts to try, you know?

That is very cool! Good luck with your plan changes I've been on this thing waaaay too much today, but I had some major breakthroughs!! First, I took @Wood Nymph s advice about the show and nd I felt like I should watch Fantasmic on YouTube. I have hesitated to do that for anything on the trip because I want to be surprised with everything that is new to me, BUT I'm glad I did decide to watch this, because I wasn't quite sure what to think of it. I liked it! My girls are pretty open to seeing shows and lights and things, but I honestly just do not think they will like Fantasmic!!! I felt horrible !!!!

I spent a lot of time thinking about the party. @Candycane83 my husband reminded me that the girls first saw fireworks this July4th. They were talking about Going to see them for a week beforehand. They were so excited and stayed up until almost 10!! I think my little one had a late quick nap that day in the car now that I remember. So, I think we're going to try for the party and not h&v!

I'm excited now I'm sure this has been discussed a lot, but does anyone know if 12/9 is likely the most crowded party of the week? i would love to go 12/8. we have an early breakfast that day too long of a day I thinK. Thanks all! Have a good night

I am so frustrated! I have tried to coordinate 3 ADRs today that all were unsuccessful. All I can think is that the restaurants were overbooked. I have successfully done this over a dozen times. So discouraging and frustrating.

I have been following along this board (along with December 2016 and MVMCP threads) but realized I haven't posted here yet! Heading to Disney for a brief trip with DH, DD (almost 4 then), and DS (almost 2 then). Just doing MVMCP 12/9, staying at AOA, then MK on 12/10. Still trying to sort out a few ADRs - @TiggerManiac do you mind if I add one to your google spreadsheet?

@Candycane83, check that thread on the hallowishes party. the reviews have gone from "meh" to downright terrible. I still can't quite let it go but I am 98% sure I will. Seems like once again disney has pushed the limits of something that was previously good by cheapening the food offerings, fewer and untrained staff and overcrowding. Too much time between parade and fireworks (even with desserts) which was one of our concerns when we were talking, and an overall unpleasant experience. Bleh.

oh no, I have to check this out. I was about 100% positive that I'm going to keep the dessert party for the parade viewing.
