***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@Candycane83 and I were talking about holding a good spot in shifts (esp since she might have a later dinner that night at BoG, 6:20), I could take the early shift then when she's done I can get up and walk around and take the kiddo to the bathroom and grab a holiday snack. but more people would make it even better, smaller shifts :)
If you guys don't do the dessert party...I would be down with helping save spots. :)

Such a great plan of attack...divide and conquer!! Hmmm....well, 2 dessert parties might be too much but 2 Christmas parties isn't, right?? :rotfl2:

not at all! at least you get admission and parade and fireworks and alllll those rides. come on 12/8! I think my child is due a pumpkin spice waffle with ice cream (they apparently had it last year at sleepy hollow for the party!)

highly leaning toward not. but will probably not decide until more reviews come out. but the fact that it is crowded, bleh. you and your dh could lay down and save enough spots for everyone, lol.
HAHAHAHAHA I'm sure the cast members would be TOTALLY fine with 2 large adults laying across the curb in MK!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
(These emojis are what I imagine me and DH would look like saving spots!)

:badpc::badpc:~~OUR CURRENT PLANS~~:badpc::badpc:

Lol! It's VERY, VERY tempting!! Especially with @areno79 and her DH holding down the fort like that up there ^^^^ !! That alone might be worth the cost of admission!

Will be mulling it over for sure!! :D

@areno79 I know! I am so tempted :) lots to think about these next few weeks. I don't think we'd be back for another 5 years, and then I'd really love to go for the Halloween party. I may regret not doing the xmas party now. Especially when I'm certain it's something my 6 year old will remember .... If she's awake that is!!! Choices choices!!

I've imagined putting all options on a dart board and throwing darts; whatever it lands on, that's what we do! lol It can be SoOoOoOoOo hard to make a decision!!

Remind me what night y'all are talking about doing the Christmas party? I know it isn't the same night as mine, but I've lost track.

@Lisa F Was it you who had the idea of parade parties? That's what I want!! :thumbsup2 Yeah, 2 dessert parties might be a bit much...

I wonder how much it would cost to arrange a private event? Everybody, please go fill out the MVMCP Page in the spreadsheet linked in my signature. If we have a large number of us going on a particular party date, we can contact Disney and see how much it would cost to arrange our own private party. Not sure they would do something on a party night, though.

Tomorrow or next week I'll try to contact Disney and see if I can get info about costs and requirements for planning a private event. We probably couldn't afford it, but we won't know if we don't ask, right?

I took kiddo when he was 6. he made it til fireworks then i pushed him out in stroller. he remembers it. it was worth it.

And if we can't afford an actual private party, I'm all for getting together with thread people on a party night and staking out spots. That would be so much fun to have a group!
it would sure make the time go faster. I always end up talking to the people next to me if they are remotely friendly and it's awesome when it's someone who has kids too! it would be the same thing only we'd have a head start on the talking!

oh i'm guessing way more than we can afford. i mean we could probably all chip in for one of those group VIP tours or something but I am guessing they do not do those during party nights. They do have VIP tours, $400-$600 an hour, lol. But if we had enough people a couple of hours of VIP "tour" for reserved parade and fireworks viewing might not be much more than the dessert party individually. dunno. it sounds crazy kind of.

upside down hidden mickeys!!!!!!

@areno79 im leaning against the dessert party too like @Lisa F since it really does not seem worth it with the mediocre view of wishes. I also will let go of my ohana reservation at 3:30 for that day, let me know when you want to coordinate. DH is just getting gas now so I'm typing as quickly as I can before he finishes or I get car sick when he starts driving again :p

Thanks so much @Mintycake :) I have so many questions about everything! Can I just ask for now, in MK, are the princess out of adr options:
Belle's tales
Ariel's grotto
merida
the princess hall...with rapunzel/tiana and aurora/cinderella?
I would like to just do one or two of these...but, we'll see how the day goes I think. For the princess hall ones, do you get a fp for all 4 of those? or do you get a fp for each set?

You can FP the following:
Belles tales
Ariel's grotto
Princess Hall: 1 FP for Cinderella/Aurora, 1 FP for Rapunzel/Tiana

Merida is get in line and wait. It's suggested to do it at her first appearance at 9:30am so get in line at 9am. I am thinking of doing this on my first day at MK and then going to PP or vice versa since the PP standby gets stupid long.

Guys...you are making me want to do the xmas party. And it's doable...I just have to juggle my 1900 Park Fare dinner.....Argh!

you have been so back and forth on it, I don't want to be guilty of talking you into something you don't want to do, lol. The parades are fun though... is your DD not into them? If you go when we go there will be glow bracelets and who knows what else might appear for any littles :)

honestly it being too crowded to get around other tables to go to the bathroom will probably be my tipping point. that and i don't really like dessert (star wars at least has watermelon skewers and flatbreads wtih hummus and booze lol). and I did kind of want to try some special treats for the xmas party. and the side view of the fireworks. all of that is pushing me toward no. will still wait for more reviews but i don't think anyone's going to come back and say "it was AWESOME!"

She's just not into parades. We're going to attempt Festival of Fantasy and the Move It! Shake It! party (because of the Zootopia characters). But those are during the day. I know it would be oodles of fun (especially with new friends!) but I asked her again and she said no.
