***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I won't do the Universal coasters either. I MIGHT do the Harry Potter Dueling Dragons, but that would be the only one. My thing is, I don't like forcing my neck muscles to keep my head back against the seat rest. If they just had a forehead restraint to keep my head immobilized, I'd be willing to ride a lot more coasters.
I hate that part too. I love HP, but honestly will probably not even like that one... I get a headache from trying to keep my head from jostling too much on coasters like that.

Hmm, I tried dueling Dragons last trip and did not like it as much as Hulk... I found Hulk much smoother ride... I think the dragons jostled me a lot so I went once only. Not sure how hulk is after the refurb though. I want to try RRR this time :)

We are determined to find a time to fit Boma breakfast into our plans but it's funny how I keep moving it around! Right now, I think our best day to do it is the day we're doing MVMCP - Thursday, Dec. 1. But I think I've had that breakfast on nearly every day of our 10-day trip just trying to find the right time to go. It's such a tough restaurant to get to.
funny we are doing it morning of MVMCP too :) it's a good non park day relaxing breakfast (assuming you are not going til later lol)

I'm sure we'll be riding all the coaters, except splash. I don't think we'll do the Kali river ride either.

The only ride I won't go on is Stich.... it gives me the creeps.

I can't wait to run into everyone at the parks!!

I've been staring at my excel sheet fighting the indecision bug! I keep swatting it!

I'm at Narcoossees on the 7th at 5:35. IMO CA Grill and Narcoossees are the most family friendly sigs... they have the most choices on the kid menu adn the most things kids will actually eat. No offense to people whose kids will eat it but most are not all that into "ancient grains" which are appearing everywhere. CA Grill made my son's pizza without sauce the way he wanted it. We are doing both :)

also HATE rnr. it makes me feel like my heart is stopping. i won't go on it again. even expecting it it makes my chest feel compressed. no way.
Our reservation is 9pm. Are you coming back for fireworks?

My dd loves stitch the character but I hear ppl hate the ride. Why?

I'm not joking or being funny when I say that when I get sleep deprived I get literally psycho. Life was very hard there for a while for various reasons and I wasn't sleeping and my crazy pretty much exploded on a daily basis. I have read things that say that women need more sleep than men do too (because of how much busier their minds are... no joke they need more time to regenerate). my advice is don't make any changes while you are sleep deprived.

kids will kill you. that's all. we all have our battles, if it's not one thing it's another. I try not to act like my issues are any worse than any others because I am truly blessed in many aspects of how my child is (or maybe I'm all starry eyed because I have him back lol). I'm glad we can share here. the only thing constant about life is that it changes... everything comes to an end, good or bad. I saw something on my facebook feed a few weeks ago that said "this too will pass... maybe slowly and painfully like a kidney stone but it will pass." :rotfl:so true!
So true! I'm a postpartum doula and I just got off 3 night shifts with a newborn and I got home and had to parent my 6 year old on 2 hrs sleep. I was super beyotch all day! I need to stop doing night work as it messes me up but it's my most popular service...

I don't hate the Stitch ride, I just wish it was more of a ride instead of the kind of odd thing it is now. I guess the only plus is that now that it's Stitch, it's a little more kid-friendly than previously.

@areno79 I did not know Stich was more kid friendly.

A long time ago in a world far away... Stich was dark and scary. The only point to the ride was to get people adrenaline pumping.
It made my son cry. He wanted out of the ride before it was over.

Did they change the Stitch ride? Last time I went on it was 10 years ago. It had been redone from what it was years before to be tied to stitch. It was set as if it were on a spaceship with experiment 626 getting out. It was more scary than cute. I think it would scare my daughter and I don't know that I will take her on it. My son will be too short to ride.

@Candycane83 My body doesn't seem to like coasters anymore (it's sad really, but not worth the awful feeling), but I will try 7DMT and absolutely love Splash (ponchos for the win).

@Mintycake Stitch isn't really a ride. You sit down, the shoulder harness comes down and you feel hot air and more pressure on your shoulders--not fun and scary.

Need advice here, first week of December friends.

We are going to be at the MK on a Monday (yes, the busy day!). We will RD that morning, take a break in the middle of the day, and return for a BOG dinner and fireworks. We currently have an 'Ohana breakfast (well, really it's at lunch time) booked on this day, but I'm on the fence on the 'Ohana breakfast. I have some qualms about making the kids leave the MK at 11am to go over to Poly for breakfast/lunch. I want them to have a nap because of RD in the AM and evening fireworks. I think that travel to 'Ohana from MK, the meal at 'Ohana, travel back to POR from 'Ohana for a nap, and then back to MK for BOG dinner and fireworks might be too much. Even though it's a lot of effort, I'm so on the fence on this one because I think it is a cute breakfast, but leaning towards dropping this 'Ohana.

Besides the last day of our trip, this it is the only possible day we could make it work. I would drop this 'Ohana completely if we could find an 'Ohana on our last day and convince my friend that 'Ohana would be more fun than Cape May (not sure that's true though) for the young kids.

So would you all drop the 11:40 'Ohana? I think I'm the one that wants the kids to do have the experience and they'll probably be happy with what they have already (which is one character meal a day, if you include meeting the Beast at the BOG dinner)! The BOG dinner is staying no matter what; especially after all the clicking that went into getting it.

I think it's nice to have that option but it really depends on what time you will take your break. To get to Poly by 11:40, I think you need to get out of MK by 11am? That's only 2 hours of going around MK and might not be enough for you. For me, I'd hold onto the reservation right now as a back up and continue to search for one on your last day. I think if you can either eat breakfast before RD (at a resort) or eat something in the parks, it might work better for your schedule. What time is your BOG dinner?

Edit: sorry I think I pretty much repeated what you said!

unfortunately agree with this. I would not want to end my day so early either. I love the Ohana breakfast and it was one of the first things I booked but I would not compromise my MK touring for it.

@SilSprBea and @BDFmom Sorry, should have clarified. I meant that changing that attraction from Aliens to Stitch was "supposed" to make it more kid-friendly. That Alien Encounter ride that it was before was way scarier, IMO. Changing it to Stitch was Disney's attempt to make it more kid-friendly. I still know lots of people (including adults) who think it's creepy! LOL

@SilSprBea I'm going to be honest, I don't love that breakfast. We always ended our trip with it and the last 3 times, our service was not good and the food was average, so now we end with Kona. I think there are so many more yummy options, although I know Stitch isn't at them (he can be found in the park though). Also, I really think it would be such a tease to the kids to have to leave so early.

Hang on to if for now and keep looking for it on the other day if you can convince friend. I hear the food at Cape may is better too. I agree it's too early to leave mk. I have a 1055 ohana but we are having a late morning and heading to mk from there.

the food at ohana is basic. eggs, breakfast meat, waffles, biscuits, potatoes, fruit. It would cost a fortune a la carte to order all that stuff (fruit cups are like $7 or more at disney? and a basic scrambled eggs and bacon and biscuits breakfast is easily $10. waffles are a kid meal etc) plus the juice. I really like that about it, lol. But it is not a buffet with anything special on it like made to order crepes or omelettes. I am very happy with the basics though. When we went it was all hot and fresh and good, just basic. But 'Ohana is very hit and miss in regard to their food and also service and always has been. I am guessing because of the format they go as low on the waitstaff numbers as they can and if someone is out and others have to cover it can be a big impact in what people can handle... because I don't think anyone shows up to work wanting to give bad service or the management makes it a goal. But I have just decided in advance if something is not good I will ask to get it replaced. Hopefully my server will be somewhere to be found :) I also LOVE breakfast and am just as happy with the basics (all of my favorites lol) as I am with fancy stuff. Figure I will skip all of the basics at our other breakfasts (except bacon. and mickey waffles. who skips those? my child can eat his weight in both of those!)

What is your last day? I might have a late 'Ohana (close to the time you already ha've) to drop on the 7th. We are looking for a different day.
