We'll be there Sept 30-Oct 7. What should we expect re: typical weather and crowds in the parks. I know F & W Festival and MNSSHP events are going on then.
Thanks!

Crowds and weather are both wonderful at that time of year.

Generally temperatures are mid 80s to early 90s high, and rides are a walk on. Epcot may be slightly busier, but we didn't see more than 30 minute waits for anything that time of year in 2004. One day it was totally empty!

We'll be there then too, wouldn't go any other time of year now. It really is a fantastic time to visit :goodvibes

We will see you there. We almost always go in October or Jan\Feb. The crowds are great and sois the weather. You will love the light crowds. Go in the early morning and enjoy. Most of the time we don't wait any longer than 15 minutes if that. The morning is almost no wait.

We got the 1st week of Oct. each year the crowds are steady but nothing like when it's spring break or school is out.It is manangeable and nice. The weather is usually mild. We always do the water parks and wear shorts and tanks...Usually have a small 5-10 minute shower a day & within 30 minutes never knew it happened. I suggest you pack a poncho and light jacket because when you do get a quick shower at night you have a little cool spell sometimes. All in all you picked and excellent time to go...... HAve a great trip we leave in 10 days :goodvibes :cool1:

How exciting we arrive october 16th from the beach so I hope we have good weather and crowds..

We were there last year from Oct 1-7. It was hotter than I thought it would be, but it was certainly okay. There were lots of people there, but the lines were short and it was nowhere near the crazy crowds of summer. We found Epcot to be the most crowded b/c of the food and wine festival. You'll have a blast at that time of year. Pack some ponchos b/c we did get an almost daily shower for about 30 min. and then it cleared up. Stay at the parks when this happens b/c they really seemed to clear out. We had some of our best times during the rain b/c it seemed like we had the parks to ourselves. Have fun..it will be here soon! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies. I'm a little disappointed to hear that the crowds may be up, but still VERY excited!!!!!!

Hi, I dont post here to much , but I love to read the boards just wanted to say we will be there Oct. 1 thru
oct. 7 we will be in a fitfhwheel at Fort Wilderness
this is our first trip in the Fall , our second trip this

were unreal. Hope to see some of you guys!!!! :Pinkbounc

We are sooo looking forward to this trip! Sept 30-Oct 6. Think the weekend will be pretty busy between F&W and the start of YOMD, but during the week I think it will be nice and quiet....just us DIS folks right....?

So glad to hear that the weather and crowds will be good. We're leaving in 8 days.  We were in WDW in March this year and with it being our first trip, I don't know if it was really crowded or not. :confused3 (We were there the first week of March before most spring breaks).

We will be there Oct 3-8 for our 2nd October visit in 5 years - usually visit in May and early January. We are planning on Epcot crowds for Saturday but otherwise hoping everything will be manageable - anything is better than Christmas week or Spring Break - don't think we would ever do those again!

I am going to be there that week so count on hotter than usual temperatures and higher crowd levels. It will still be fun though!!

Certainly hope so. We will be there this week and there seems a lot of disers there the same week. Will have my lime green mickey, so be on the lookout!

I saw the temp today was 28 degrees (sorry, don't know faranheit equivalent) by 9.30 in the morning. Certainly don't get that often in England, particularly in Oct.

DH is watching storms and temps. He said the revised and now predict in the 90's for the week. Bring the spray fans! :cool1:

We will be there Sept 30-Oct 8! I am sooooo ready! Great to hear the temps shuold be nice as well as crowds. Esp since we are traveling with a tiny baby. :goodvibes

I will have my lime green mickey head on the stroller so I hope to see some of you guys there!!

We tented at Ft Wilderness this past Easter. It was SO much fun! Be careful re: things in the heat. Our Chocolate Bunnies melted and it wasn't nearly as hot then as is predicted the 1 Week of Oct. (We ate them anyway!!! :rolleyes1 )

we'll be there too Sept 30-oct 7. Flying in at 1030 am on sat and staying ASM First time at wdw. So far weather seems in 80-90 with few days chance of a thunderstorm. Hope the crowds are low. My biggest planning was which park to visit on which days. It seems if you pick the wrong parks on the wrong days you are screwed with long lines. I hope i picked right! :rotfl:
