1st Visit Buttons

You can pick these up at check-in at resorts, city hall in the MK and in pretty sure there are places in EP and AK to pick these up, but in DHS you can get them at the main information center where you pick up the maps. I noticed there were many people wearing buttons...too many... but I did see CMs just saying 'welcome' and the biggest thing I saw was balloons being given. But its just a fun thing, dont expect a night in the castle or anything, just a few welcomes and maybe a little special suprise or two.

awesome!!!thaks guys for the quick response, they are really nice and big.cant't wait to wear them!!

We took my mom to WDW last week & it was her 1st time. We got her a button at the guest services at MGM. She got special attention from CMs & other guests. One CM asked her how come it took her so long to get there! It did make my mom feel special though.

That's the type of response I'm looking for :) just a few extra smiles and kind words. :thumbsup2

I would go with the idea that CMs may be a little more chatty to your family but I woudn't expect a thing. As FERALPEG said every 5th person is wearing one. If it's not 1st trip it's birthday or Anniversary. On our trip in Dec. I couldn't believe how many people were wearing them. My next thought was that I wonder when Disney will realize these buttons are expensive and start charging guests. I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't want you to have great expectation and be disappointed. A first trip is magical no matter what happens.:wizard:

Hi,
Can anyone out there tell me if you've ever worn a 1st Visit Button in the parks and your on-site resort?

I understand you can get them at MK but have you ever gotten them at a value resort and if it was put in your reservations did they do anything special-esp. if you tell them they are little kids not adults?

What happened to you in the parks and restaurants (either in the parks or at other resorts restaurants) when you wore your button?

Thanks in advance everyone!!!!:goodvibes

Some members of our Grand Gathering wore theirs last month in WDW. Nothing "happened" as a result...it was really just for fun. Not everyone in our party was there for the first time...4 out of 11 were. We were given extras by the CM at Guest Services, because he found out none of the rest of us ever got one when it WAS our first visit, but we didn't wear them. They're just for our WDW souvenir stash.
