Hi,
Can anyone out there tell me if you've ever worn a 1st Visit Button in the parks and your on-site resort?

I understand you can get them at MK but have you ever gotten them at a value resort and if it was put in your reservations did they do anything special-esp. if you tell them they are little kids not adults?

What happened to you in the parks and restaurants (either in the parks or at other resorts restaurants) when you wore your button?

Thanks in advance everyone!!!!:goodvibes

You can get the buttons at the Value Resorts. Just ask for them when checking in.

There's no set list of "stuff" that will happen if you're wearing a "1st Visit" button. They're more a souvenir than anything else. Some CMs may make a bit of a fuss -- you may get a balloon here, a pin there. Some rides have certificates that are given to first-time guests. But as I said, more a souvenir than anything.

Have a GREAT trip!

I wore one for my 1st trip last September. I got it at the front desk at WL. I didn't get anything special, but many cast members did come up to me and ask how my first visit was going which made me feel special. :)

My daughter got hers at our resort when we checked in. The only thing out of the ordinary was a CM gave her a TON of Mickey stickers at the MK. She was in her glory. The same trip my sister in law wore one and so did my brother in law and they didn't receive any special surprise or treatment.

I plan on getting one for my Mom; I think she might get more attention with it since she's 80yo and every bit the sweet little older lady.

She'll like to talk to the CM's so any acknowledgement will be good. :)

:wizard: :wizard: both of my boys wore theirs the entire first trip and ours were on our bag... DS7 (6 at the time) got some special attention at the Indiana Jones show. The CM saw his button and seated us in the reserved seating sections - great seats... DH got picked as an extra for the show. The boys did get stickers and such at various places and CM's approached us and made sure we knew where we were going and such. We also had a CM tell us a great place to watch the afternoon parade at MGM and she told us that the charcters all gather around the clock tower I think right after the parade... something I hadn't read here. So, I guess it just depends on your trip. Quite honestly, it was a first trip for us all and just being there was magic in itself

you can get the buttons at the resorts, or any guest services desk. and yeah, it is worth it to wear the buttons.

I did not know about this and it'll be ds's first trip in November! Can't wait to get his button:goodvibes

We got one for my DD when we went in January, but we kept it as a souvenir because she dosen't like to wear buttons or stickers (which we got plenty of too). Anyway, I was shocked at how many people had them on, especially adults.

truth is, it probably doesn't really get you anything. you'll often get the same treatment even without it, it's purely random.

Not to be a downer, but about every fifth person you see at WDW is wearing one of those buttons. They are extremely popular.

I'll give you an exception on that rule, last week my grandparents were wearing their anniversary buttons all week, and they got little recognitions and surprises here and there. But then again, everyone would ask how many years, and when they would say "65" everyone was excited and surprised.

I'd say the coolest "Dream" surprise, what ever you want to call it was a safari truck to our selves, that went slow and let us stop to take pics. When we were pulling back up to the village, we got a lot of looks.

We took my mom to WDW last week & it was her 1st time. We got her a button at the guest services at MGM. She got special attention from CMs & other guests. One CM asked her how come it took her so long to get there! It did make my mom feel special though.

Anyone have a close up of the button,I have no idea how they look like? thanks!!

Cool, I had no idea about these buttons. My DD13, and DS4 will have their first visit in August when we go, so we'll have to make sure to get buttons for them.

We got a button for my son at the front desk at Pop. I didnt ask for one (I actually didnt even know about them) but one of the CM's at the desk asked if it was my sons first time at WDW and if so did he already have a button. I said no and he gave me one. Since my ds is 14mo I put it on the sunshade of his stroller. I didnt think he would leave it alone and would eventually stick himself with the pin if I put it on his shirt. Here is a pic where you can see it on his stroller:
