Hi

We are all getting really excited but not off till Nov12th!

Not sure what ADR's to book want a bit of variety but must be magical for a 4 & 9 yr olds.

Def wanna do CRT - Breakfast and prob Crystal Palace.

Which ones interact with the kids!

Thanks

Our favorite character meal is at Garden Grill. Great interaction with Farmer Mickey!

Lots of other WOW places for the kids besides character meals (we only did one a trip when the kids were little).

Coral Reef - fun to watch the fish

San Angel Inn - you can take the kids on the boat ride while you wait for your food

Sci Fi - eat at the drive-in!

'Ohana - fun place, they have coconut races and hula hoop contests during your meal

has characters great interaction :dance3: :rolleyes1. We enjoyed Ohana's breakfast @ Polynesian and Akershus Storybook Princesses breakfast also. I hear chef Mickey's has good breakfast. We went one morning on last trip to breakfast @ Chrystal Palace the character were great but I didn't like the taste of the buffet food.

We really enjoy the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot, 1900 Park Faire (Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Stepsisters - It's hilaious),and Liberty Tree Tavern at MK (comfort food with great character interaction).

Crystal Palace, Ohana's, Liberty Tree Tavern and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

This year I am taking my daughter to tea at the Grand Floridian, just her and I. She is really excited about this (especially since her younger brother does not get to come :yay: ). Anyone done the tea at the Garden View Room???

I have a DD who just turned 9. We are regular visitors, and will be visiting again Oct. 6 - Oct 13. This year I asked her if she wanted to change any of our old favorites or add anything new. As I could have expected she wants to keep all the old favorites and add new ones! So here is her list of favorites:

CRT Breakfast- This is just so special, especially if you have princess girls. The prioncesses are very attentive, and the food is pretty good too. DD always wears a princess outfit and they make a big deal about her being a princess. Also, last year, we also did the Bibbity Bobbity Botique and got her hair and make-up done. We did it in the castle location and she (and her two friends) thought it was great.

Princess Storybook Restaurant in Norway -- We have don't this for breakfast and lunch. Always a good time, good princess interaction and DD wants to do it again.

Chef Mickey's Dinner- I love the atmosphere, but not too fond of the food. DD loves it though, and she is very disappointed when we do not go. It is at the Contemporary hotel, so it you can browse around afterward.

Ohana's at the Polynesian Hotel- Clearly our family favorite. Great food, nice polynesian atmosphere, games and Hula lessons for the kids. And, afterwards, we walk out to the beach and watch the Electric Light Parade and then see the firworks over the magic kingdom. A little hokey, but we love this family tradition.

Cape May Cafe Breakfast at the Beach Club- One of our favorite breakfasts. The character interaction is great, and it is busy, but not usually crazy crowded. The food is really good too. They have a great selection

1900 Park Fare Dinner at the Grand Floridian- Has Cinderella and Prince Charming and the Step mom and step-sisters which is fun. We think this buffet has the best food of all the buffets on property.

We have also done the Princess tea at the Grand Floridian. Very Pricey, but worth doing once. Not much about the food--this one is all about being with Sleeping Beuaty and getting an American Girl-like sleeping beauty doll. DD has asked to do this again, but I don't think we will just cause of the price.

We have done Garden Grill which is fun and has good food, and Liberty Tree Tavern, which is really my least favorite, but still okay.

This time around we are going to try the Crystal Palace again which we have not done for many years. I can't vouche for it as it has been so long, other people swear by it though.

There are also many non-character restaurants that we go to that DD really likes too. We like WCC, which is great fun and has a great atmosphere. We like Le Cellier in EPCOT too, and DD likes it there as they have the Chocolate Mousse, shaped like a real moose, for dessert.

We happen to Like Mama Melrose at Disney Studios. Also, 50's PrimeTime Cafe is great. All the wait staff is in character, aunts, uncles, mother, cousin, brother, etc., and if you get a good team, it is quite funny as they yell at each other just like at mom's.

Rainforest Cafe at DD is also fun and has a great atmosphere.

Have fun choosing!

With our 2 kids (DD & DS), we always end up making ADRs at the following restaurants:

Chef Mickey's (breakfast) - for me, this is just a "must-do" character meal - this is normally our "last day" breakfast
Cinderella's Royal Table (lunch) - we've done both breakfast & lunch, but we prefer lunch
Crystal Palace (lunch) - normally, I don't like buffets (especially after long lines in the park), but this buffet is yummy!
Garden Grill (lunch) - good character interaction, cool restaurant (it revolves), and the kids love the "decorate-your-own" cupcakes
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner) - this is our traditional "first night" dinner

We also like Whispering Canyon Cafe and Ohana for dinner - 2 fun, family restaurants w/ "extra" activities for children. We also schedule a Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose's. Each year, we pick a new World Showcase restaurant to try - this year, we're finally trying Le Cellier. We're also trying Coral Reef this year.

We've eaten at San Angel Inn, but our kids didn't really like it - the food or the "dark" atmosphere. We sat right by the water, but the tables are so crammed together that I don't think DD & DS even appreciated the "view".

We've also tried Tony's Town Square at the request of DS & DD who wanted to eat spaghetti & meatballs at Lady & the Tramp's restaurant. We've had breakfast at Donald's Breakfastasauras to see Donald and for the "dino" theme for DS, but this breakfast has moved to Tusker House. We've had a Princess Storybook dinner at Akerhus in Norway at Epcot - while it's a lovely restaurant & the character interaction is good, I feel somewhat guilty scheduling 2 princess meals since there is not currently a boy-themed character meal, so we just schedule CRT for our princess meal. However, 1900 Park Fare and Princess Storybook would both be good choices for your DDs.

The only restaurant to which we wouldn't return is Hollywood & Vine.

I would definitely recommend CRT for breakfast. We just got back & it was awesome! My DD met Snow White, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, & Belle at the breakfast & of course, Cinderella was in the lobby.

For dinner our family loves Liberty Tree Tavern. The food is great & the characters are great. You get to see Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, & Dale.

My kids are now 10 (dd), 9 (dd) and 7 (ds). We've been coming since they wre 2, 4 and 5. Their favorite restaurants are:

Chef Mickeys (dinner)
Liberty Tree Tavern
Sci-Fi
Coral Reef
CRT
PSB
Ohana (breakfast and dinner)
Cape May Buffet (breakfast)
1900 Park Fare (breakfast and dinner)
Crystal Palace (breakfast and dinner)
Biergarten (dinner)

HTH!

I agree with the character meals.:thumbsup2 Find out who they really want to see and schedule your character meals that way.

Others that I would recommend if they are not too shy:
Biergarten - DD loved dancing to the band with the other kids.
'Ohana - hula lessons and a parade
DS9 likes the atmosphere at Sci-Fi, DD5 could care less about it.
We are trying Whispering Canyon Cafe and Coral Reef on our upcoming trip because of all the kid friendly reviews I have read on here.

Here's one for each park.

Garden Grill in the Land Pavalion in EPCOT.
Prime Time Cafe or Sci Fi Diner in MGM.
Liberty Tree Tavern in MK.
Rain Forest Cafe at AK.
