We are taking our DS, DDiL, DGD(6), DGS(3), & DGS(1 1/2) for their 1st trip ever in August with dining plan. My DS has a very large appetite, so we thought mainly buffet would be good. Any opinions? I was thinking...
Akershus
Chef Mickey's
Chrystal Palace
Cape May
O'Hanna

I really like the buffets with kids under 6. They have so many more choices than just eating off the kids menu. I like your choices, but make sure you check out the Norway menu, it is a bit different. I also like 1900 Park Fare as a dinner choice, it is easy to get to, good food and your 6yo will love the stepsisters.

Thanks for the suggestions. Do you think the food is better at 1900 Park Fare than @ Akershus? I only picked it for the princess factor, but 1900 could provide that as well. I love Boma myself, but not sure if DDiL likes all that spice.

Without knowing where you are staying, what parks you are visiting and whether or not you have your own transportation, it's hard to comment, but you have all of your meals at either MK or Epcot area. If you are using WDW transportation and not staying in either of these resort areas; you will be spending a bit of time traveling. Cape May, especially, is a pain to get to unless you are driving or staying at an Epcot area resort.

We will be taking our grandchildren for the second time later this year. It's a lot of fun. Enjoy your time there with them.

Akers is pretty normal at breakfast. I personally think princess expereince is not as good at 1900 park fare. Cinderella is the only princess there and the step sisters and step mother can sometimes be scary for young ones.

we had the princess lunch and thats where we stuggled with the food and we are not just meat and potatoe people. We try to avoid breakfast meals because thats when parks are least crowded.

We are staying @CSR. We will have our own vehicles, but will also use Disney Trans System. I was trying to get at least one meal especially for each person, but that all would enjoy. I will also have my DH & DS14 with me who love good & unusual food.
