This was our first trip as DVC members.
We arrived at 5:00 p.m. at the Boardwalk from Tiffany Towncar service after a stop at the grocery store. Rooms were ready to go and the CM "shad" got us two rooms close together on the 3rd floor. We (myself, wife, son, FIL) were in 1-bdrm room, 3068 (handicapped room). Sister, niece and BIL were in studio, 3062. Both were preferred view of Luna park pool. I have no idea why we got the handicapped room, but it was great. Rooms were clean and in good shape. We were only 30 feet from the elevators, which was nice.
All resort & park Christmas decorations were unbelievable and gorgeous where ever we went.
Monday was MK. Character breakfast at Crystal Palace with Pooh & Friends. Character interaction seemed disorganized and it was crazy with all the kids, but it was fun. MK crowds were very light. Didn't wait more than 5 minutes for any ride. Parade was great.
Ate at Artist Point that night and checked out the WLV. Food was good, different, but good.
Tuesday was EPCOT. No large crowds there either. We did notice an increase in the number of celeberties and groups being overseen by CM's. Longest wait was 15 min for test track. Went back to the room for lunch, pool, nap. My sister said the parade was fantastic. Went back that night for illuminations and things. Hit beaches and cream that night for a cone....loved it.
Wednesday was AK. Tried to stay away from MGM & MK and crowds. Busses were packed for those parks that day. Did notice an increase in people that day. Wasn't too crowed, just busier. Had a good conversation with the moving tree, pretty funny. Ate at restaurantosaurous, basically McDonalds. They have the loudest chairs in the history of the world when moved. The games at the Dino park were fun, won 2 dino's and a frog for niece and son. Ate at Big river grill that night. Good beer and food was good. Sister & BIL did the Poly luau. Had a great time.
Thursday was MGM. Pretty busy. Noticed the Pop Warner football and cheerleader groups all over. Hit TOT and RR in the morning. I love the RR. The take off is the best. Great CM story here. My wife was waiting for the parade in front of where "DOUG" used to be shown. She was on the steps. Trapped on each side by people and the front by the parade. My son (4 months) decides that it is the perfect time to spit up everything from his bottle all over the front of her shirt. A CM standing behind her saw this and montioned for her to come inside where she could clean up. So the CM cleaned up my son while my wife did the same, but her T-shirt (white) was now totally wet and smelled of formula. So the CM grabbed a wonderful red mickey t-shirt of the shelf and gave it to her to wear instead. My wife was stunned to say the least. Ate pizza in the room for dinner and then went to MVMCP. The parade was great. The crowd was not too bad. My niece could not figure out how Mickey got it to snow when it was so warm outside. The fireworks were amazing. After the second parade the park cleared out and we walked on BTMR and the Bear water ride. Had a great night.
Friday was check out at 11. Sister & BIL got info on DVC. Went to airport. Check in was quick and security line was short.
Only bad thing.
5 resorts on one bus route is too much. Busses were standing room only. Disney needs to break it up when BCV start. It is easier to get off at the SWAN and walk.
Overall it was a great trip. We love our DVC purchase. Feel free to ask questions, I will do my best to answer.
