1st trip as Mr. and Mrs. (lots of pics!) Updated 9/29: TR Link Posted!!

That's funny! I'm borderline obsessive. If I had clean laundry to lay it all out, I may be actually obsessive like you. :rolleyes1

I can't believe I'm so close!! I can say "I'm going to Disney World next week!" And when I get back...you'll be pretty dang close yourself!! Woohoo!

I'm planning on not wearing the clothes (at least for the most part) that we'll be taking on our trip for at least the week before. That way, I won't be stressed knowing I have to get all of the laundry done! :upsidedow YES YOU CAN!!!! You'll be there before you know it! I can't wait to hear all about how much you love it!!! :woohoo:

DAY 6: Friday, September 25

This day marks the start of our last full day in the parks. :guilty: Even though it’s sad, I’m sure we won’t even think about it being the last full day—we’ll be too anxious for our Animal Kingdom day! :woohoo:

Once again, I’m guessing we’ll wake up and eat some of the breakfast snacks from home (which we bought Monday evening) before heading out for the morning/afternoon. Here’s my outfit for the day:

Hopefully it’ll be a VERY short bus ride to AK since we’re staying at AKV. On that note, I’m not fully looking forward to the bus rides to the other parks…since AKL is the farthest away from everything. Oh well.

Once again, we’re planning on making it to rope drop. I hear there’s a really cute little safari rope drop show, and I’m excited to see it. Also, this will be Michael’s very first time in Animal Kingdom! It wasn’t open the last time he came to WDW.

After park opening, we’ll rush over to Expedition Everest to snag FPs and then hop on the ride! I’m sooo excited about this. And I know Michael will love it! :thumbsup2

Once we’ve risked our lives by going on the Yeti’s mountain, we’ll head over to Dinoland USA to (possibly) ride Primeval Whirl (if we’re not too shaken up from Everest :headache:) and then ride DINOSAUR. Side note—the first time I rode this (when I was 15), I almost took my aunt’s arm off from holding on to it so tight on this ride!

I’d written down that we would head over to ride Kali River Rapids next, but after our planning meeting last night (more on this later) and remembering how stinking wet we got on the rapids ride at Six Flags, we decided this is a no-go. In fact, when I asked Michael if he still wanted to ride this, his exact response was “Heck no! Not unless it’s the very last thing we do. I don’t want to walk around wet. And I didn’t even have fun on the other one because I was getting so wet! No.” So there you have it. Kali is not on our list. :snooty:

I have a feeling we’ll make our way towards the Tree of Life to take some pictures and see It’s Tough to be a Bug next. I think Michael is going to love this! It’s one of my very favorite 3-D shows!

Depending on our FP return time, we might make our way back to Asia to use our other FPs for EE. I’d like to take time to walk through the different trails, so we will probably visit the Maharajah Jungle Trek either before or after we ride EE.

Whenever we can get another set, we’ll go over and get a set of FPs for Kilimanjaro Safaris. I know that a lot of people say to do this first thing in the morning, but I’ve had good experiences in the afternoon before when the weather is cooler. And since we’re staying at AKL, I know we’ll get chances to see a lot of the wildlife.

After we get our FPs for KS, we’ll probably stop for lunch. We’re planning on either getting the AK Picnic (has anyone tried this?) or going to Pizzafari. By the way, we’ll have to decide which that morning because if we want to do the picnic, we’ll have to place our order ahead of time. Any suggestions?

After we eat, we’ll either go back to KS or to the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail (depending on our FP return time) and then do the other.

Also on our list is Festival of the Lion King as well as Finding Nemo—The Musical. :goodvibes I absolutely Love FotLK, and I’ve heard such great things about Nemo. So we definitely want to catch these. So we might be watching one of these in between our other plans (if we can see it’s pretty empty in the park) or waiting and doing both of these later on in the afternoon. Any tips?

After we’ve done all we have planned for this day, we’ll hop on a bus back to AKL to relax and get ready for our dinner at Boma!! I can’t tell you how excited I am for this meal! :thumbsup2 It’s my cousin’s family’s favorite restaurant in all of Disney World, and I usually really enjoy foods from other countries.

That night, I’ll be wearing:

My favorite thing about this shirt is the back—it has a low back with a bow at the top:

Anyway…after we eat dinner we’ll head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see Fantasmic!!! I’ve never, ever seen this show and I just can’t wait!! :dance3: Michael has never seen it either. I’m really glad it fell this way in our schedule so we could end our last night at WDW with such an awesome show. We’re planning on getting there very early since it’s the only thing we have planned for that night so that we can get good seats.

After we enjoy the show (because I know we will!) we’ll go back to AKL for our last night’s rest at Disney World. :sad2: We’ll probably pack everything up this night so we don’t have to do it the next morning.

Let me know if you have any tips or suggestions for AK, Lunch, Boma, or Fantasmic!

Up next: Each of our top 3-4 rides/attractions at each park and our Packing List!

I tried to go to AK for rope drop a few years ago, a trip in April. It was packed. I didn't see anything! Take pictures for me please! :)

Everything sounds great but no Kali??? Who cares if you get soaked? That's half the fun! :rotfl:

Wow! I've been away from the boards for so long, I had to read about 6 pages to catch myself up to you! :goodvibes

I love all your outfits! And I really like the necklace you are going to wear on your Magic Kingdom day.

Have you guys thought about wearing your ponchos on Kali River Rapids? I love those kinds of rides, but if you get wet, you get soaked!

We love love love love love Boma! I am so glad you get to go! My favorite parts are the hummus and the dessert! :)

You are almost there! I hope you guys have the best time! :wizard:

Oh! And I think Fantasmic is an absolutely wonderful way to end your vacation!

Oh I just adore both your shirts on your AK day!!! I would also like to thank you so much for providing those tips on where I can start looking for jewelry to wear to accessorize my outfits!! THANK YOU!!

I love you itinerary and yes you will have a very full day so you won't have time to dwell on the fact that its your last day...just enjoy it!!

Have I mentioned how sad I am that we are missing each other by a day...really I mean 1 day :sad2:

Loved your update!! Can't wait to hear more!!

OH...btw I'm with you on the Kali thing...I'm not all about getting wet!

Sad night....we'll be spending that evening at AKL as well....getting all packed up to leave on Saturday.

BooHoo.

(Sounds like a great day, though) :thumbsup2

Looks like a great AK plan! :thumbsup2 We too are avoiding Kali when we go. I don't mind getting a little wet on Splash Mountain, but I don't like walking around drenched, neither does Dustin! I'm pretty much terrified of Dinosaur too! :scared1: It's so ridiculous because I know it's fake, but we almost always end up buying the ride picture because I always look like I'm about to die of fright. lol

You must be getting SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED!!! :dance3: It's almost here!!

I adore both of your AK shirts! So cute! Your plans sound very nice for that day. If the EE line is a bit too long for your taste, don't forget about the single rider line. No, you won't be able to ride together, but if you end up loving EE....you can just keep getting back into the very short singles line!

Hopefully we'll be able to get some good pictures! And if we do, I'll FOR SURE post them for you! :thumbsup2 Yeah, that's what we thought until there wasn't a dry spot on our bodies after we rode the rapids ride at Six Flags! :upsidedow I think that was enough wetness to last a lifetime!

Wow! That was a lot of reading! I'm glad you got caught up :thumbsup2 Thank you! I actually made that necklace...I just bought a yard or so of it in the fabric section at Wal-Mart and tied it in a bow :goodvibes I wear it at least once a week! You know, we thought about doing the poncho thing...but one of the things we hate the most is our shoes getting wet. And they got SOAKED at Six Flags. So I really think we're going to skip it. Just not worth it in our books. :upsidedow I can't believe it's getting SOOO close! Thanks so much!

Thanks! The yellow one was my birthday shirt this past year :goodvibes And you're welcome! Let me know if you find some good ones! I'm sure you will!! I think it's going to be a really good last full day. And it'll be one day before you start! :woohoo: I know--I am SO SAD we're missing each other by a day. You're getting in on the 26th, right? What time? We're not leaving til after 4:00, so maybe we could still meet up??? I don't remember your schedule off the top of my head. Thanks!! I'll post our "must do" rides hopefully tomorrow. Yeah....we might ride Kali with kids someday, but we're just not feeling it this time :upsidedow

I know...packing up and realize we're leaving in the morning will NOT be fun! But I know we will have had such a great time that we really can't be too sad! :goodvibes

Thanks! Yeah...we're just not for wet shoes and clothes...and especially wet underclothes!! :headache: I'm such a little girl on that ride! I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I AM RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED!!!! :dance3::woohoo::yay: I can't believe we'll be there in 2.5 weeks!!!

Thanks! They're two of my favorites! Nice--thanks for the tip! We'll for sure keep that in mind! :thumbsup2

Your AK day sounds great!! I think the ride I am most excited for is EE! Can't wait. What are you thinking about getting at Pizzafari? I took that off my consideration when they took off the chicken parm sandwich. I think the picnic looks much better now!

I've heard the Hot Italian sandwich is REALLY good. But I've never had it. Last time, I went to Flame Tree BBQ. It was good, but BBQ and heat just don't mix well in my book... And the breadsticks sound yummy! :thumbsup2 Let me know if you do the picnic and if you like it!!

I just talked to my mom and she thinks the picnic in the park sounds better. So we'll be doing that and I'll let you know how it is! :thumbsup2

I just stumbled upon your PTR today and just got all caught up! I love reading about all of your outfits and plans! It helps me relive the magic of our vacation. You picked out such cute outfits that look comfy too! I like the top you are going to wear to AK.

One side note, a while back you mentioned you are eating at Coral Reef and asked for suggestions? Well, we just ate there last month for the first time and actually enjoyed it. I know the food gets "eh" reviews, so maybe it was because we weren't expecting much, but I really liked my meal. I was going to order the tilapia entree, but our waiter was awesome and actually recommended the mahi mahi over it. Boy am I glad I listened to him! He would tell us if we tried to order something "not so good." I cleared my plate, and I usually find mahi to be to beefy for me. Also, do not order the strawberry cheesecake for dessert. I made that mistake and didn't realize there was "no sugar added" aka - blech. The chocolate dessert that my DH looked good.

Also, we LOVED, loved, loved Kona. I have eaten there one other time before and loved it then too. The bread with the macadamia nut butter....heavenly! :cloud9: Anyways, enough of that, back to your report!:)

love the PTR
you have awesome taste- I am going to follow your lead and attempt to not be an insane overpacker- no promises!

Yeah! Let me know how it is. I really don't know which we'll decide...

Hi! Thanks so much for reading! :goodvibes You don't know how happy I am that you said you liked Coral Reef. I was looking at some other reviews today about it and almost everyone had bad things to say. I'll remember that the mahi mahi is realy good. :thumbsup2 Thanks so much!!! And thanks for the heads up on the Strawberry Cheesecake. I probably would have ordered this... And I'm SOO glad you liked Kona too! As you probably know, this was a backup choice for us. So I'm glad you like it. I'll let you know how it is! :thumbsup2

Hi! Thanks for reading! :flower3: Thanks so much! It's fun picking out my clothes. And you're right--it'll help to not overpack. I worked at camp for 3 summers and I've done a lot of traveling...so I've turned into a pretty light packer. It helps if you know what you'll wear when and then add a few extra outfits :thumbsup2

LOVE your wardrobe for this day...both shirts are so so pretty! And dinner at Boma...yuuuuuuuuuuum :thumbsup2

Your not alone on the Kali thing the DBF wouldn't go on it for fear of getting wet lol im still a little disappointed I didn't get to try it but I guess I wouldn't have been happy in soggy clothes all afternoon :sad2:

Thanks Emma! The yellow is probably my favorite shirt ever :goodvibes And we can't wait for Boma!!! You haven't left yet, have you? I can't wait to hear all about your semester!! :thumbsup2

Yay! We're not the only wimps  I'm pretty sure I rode it with my family back in High School...and so I don't feel like I'm really missing it. And we'll be DRY! :thumbsup2
