1st Timer...memory maker question

we are thinking about adding memory maker. We have little kids and are doing CRT and will have a lot,of,character photos. Are there photographers at all character interactionS?

The most of the character interactions have photographers.
However random meets, Character Palooza or Epcot training meet & greets might not have a photographer.
In this case character attendants are always happy to do the picture for you

I am always travelling alone to WDW, never had any problem to get my pic when there was no photographer around.

When we took our 13 month for the first time we loved having the MM, we had over 250 images, it allowed us to be in the moment and not worry about taking photos our self for handing the cell phone to the CM or handler. Make sure to stop when you see a Photographer we did like three of them just on Main Street alone up to the Castle. That is how you get different images/ poses and also more final images to chose from. We also liked that the Photogoraphy took a bunch and allowed our daughter time to warm up with the characters. Also ask photographer about "Magic Shots" they will put tinker bell in a photo (MK) or Luminar (MK/ by BOG), or Stich and Frozen (EP) or Butterfly (AK) these are fun memeories. When we got home I was able to add extras to the photos, like frames, signature.... make sure you make a copy of the original to play with. Then download all the images, you can then print them with shutterfly, walgreen etc. We make a book with Walgreens and it is a great keepsake!

At character meals like CRT, you will meet Cinderella outside the restaurant (downstairs part of the castle) and can choose 3 different groupings/poses for your party. This is done with a photopass photographer and will show up on your memory maker. Inside the restaurant when the princesses come around to your table, you have no photopass photographer and must use your own camera. If you visit and participate in Enchanted TAles with Belle, you will get a card with a code to enter online and it will upload all the pictures of the event as well as a posed photo with Belle at the end. At other character meet and greets like Princess Fairytale Hall and most other scheduled meeting spots have a photographer. Although photographers at meets will be happy to snap a picture with your camera for you, I find that they generally take only the final posed shot with your camera; when they are snapping away with their own camera, they get lots of shots with your kids interacting with the characters, asking for autographs, etc and these will all be captured in your memory maker. Have fun!

In our opinion, if you are doing a lot of character meet and greets, memory maker is worth it. While not all of the meet and greets have photopass a lot of them do. Also, most of the photographers don't just take one shot- they take several. You can also maximize it by remembering to look for photopass photographers and stop when you see them (until your kids get sick of it ) Also, be sure and take more than one set of pictures in front of the park icons like the castle, EPCOT ball, etc. because not all photographers are created equal, you never know what your kids are doing with their faces until you see the pictures, and the light at different times of day can really make a difference. If you buy the photopass photos individually, they are around $15 each, so they add up fast. We always have plenty of good ones that I would have had a hard time not buying. We usually wind up with hundreds of photos. You can also edit and put borders on them on the photopass website, so there are times we have had over 1000 photos by the time we were done.
