i haven't been to MK since i was 6....my family is going for the 1st time with my brothers family...we have settled on staying off-site, but our up in the air on when

we are between the weeks of 9/26-10/3 and 10/24-10/31...trying to figure out the pro's & cons of both weeks...weather, crowds and such...need help

thanks

We done several trips during the first week of your two choices. PROS: The weather was still very warm--comfortable for swimming, and very comfortable for touring the parks. We have been blessed with minimal rain during our trips. Crowds are excellent.
CONS: The park hours are shorter than the busier times, and parade and special shows have more limited times.

The later week: I think MNSSHP is offered several times during the later period, not sure about the earlier. Also, I think the first week is value season, 2nd is regular (not possitive), but there are usually codes, or rates that would make the differences minimal.

Have a great trip!!

I think the last week in September will be less crowded. Park hours may be reduced compared to end of October but with the amount of time you'll be there you'll be OK.

Have you considered the DTD hotels? That time of year you can get good off site rates but not be too far removed. I also hear the transportation is better than WDW.

We stayed off site on our last trip and had a great time for a great price, but had problems with the transportation provided.

We travel to WDW frequently anywhere between Labor Day and end of October. To me, the difference is very slight. Warmer in September, but maybe less crowds. October weather is just beautiful...lower humidity, but still warm enough for swimming and water parks. The crowds are a little heavier with the food and wine festival and the Halloween festivities, but really to me, the difference is just negligible. Either time should be pretty nice!

Definitely September!
We swicthed from mid Sept to the last two weeks of Oct last year and were so disappointed to find how much more crowded Oct. was. The food and Wine Festival in Epcot starts Oct 1st and has a large following, increasing crowds at all parks. Also Makes it harder to enjoy strolling through the countries - very conjested to navagate small children through.
The Halloween Party (MNSSHP) also bulids attenance in the MK during Oct, and causes the park to close at 6pm during those nights.
All in all we still had a great time - we just waited in longer lines for the buses for food and most of all the rides. Hardly waited in line for anything in September though!

Anything I've read suggests that the last week in
September might be better. There are fewer extra events happening - Food and Wine Festival, MNSSHP, golf tourney, Pop Warner football.

Also, the last week in September starts in value season. You would have a value season rate for your entire stay.
