Wed: DH had a free day. He drops DS and I off at MGM Studios. I had a PS for Cafe inside Polynesian for breakfast, but it was too early for this group. Oh well, no Tonga Toast for me. I truly wanted to check it out. Drat. My DH ended up enjoying Gatorland. hee. He said it was enjoyable. DS and I enjoyed MGM Studios very much. Took the Great Movie Ride while waiting for FP time to come up for TOT. Then went on TOT. I totally enjoyed that ride. Saw Muppet 3-D show while waiting for FP time for Rock 'n RollerCoaster.
I enjoyed Both sooo much. Backlot tour. It was okay. Did not have a PS for Si Fi Diner, but waited in line and finally got our car.
This place if fantastic and so unique! Totally enjoyed this place.
We then left to take bus and monorail to Epcot. After a ride of MS, why did I do this right after eating?. we went over to France and I HAD to sit and enjoy a treat while DS and I sat. hee hee
Thurs. All three of us went to MGM. arrived after 9am. Got to see the Who Wants to be a Millionaire show. Kind of fun. Went on Star Tours and DH got sick. Well, just felt sick. He did not like it. It is one of my favorites! oh well. Had a PS for Prime Time '50's cafe. That place if the best!! Totally enjoyed every moment here! I had the Smores to myself! (shared a few marshmallows with DH and DS). I was a pig for sure, but HAD to have it. Left fairly early and then went to roam DTD.
HEY! AFter stressing about rain and getting ponchos, it did not rain ONCE on us during park hours! I used the poncho once leaving one of those "hokey" gift shops.
Friday: Went to Animal Kingdom. Did the 3-D It's tough to be a bug show. That was soooo funny and cute. Then went on the safari ride. It was okay. Our guide seemed to be reading his script. It made the ride even more hokey. But got some fairly good animal shots. Then made DH happy and went on the water rapid ride. DS did NOT want to get wet, as hot as it was, he is so concerned about his clothing, etc. too cute. hee I was one of three of riders that got soaked. We were basically ready to leave the park anyway, so we headed back to room, dried, rested and then ......are you ready for this......son decided to stay back and rest in the cool room. So, then (by the way, still no word on truck and to date, no truck) DH and I go to Magic Kingdom alone! What a treat! I swear, I did not have to deal with teenager telling me what to do or how stupid I look with my wet hankerchief to cool my neck. As much as I adore my son, this was a treat. We went to POC, and then Hall of Presidents (great show!) and got a FP for Mickey's Philharmagic. We just relaxed and ate some ice cream waiting. Nice and relaxing. After show we strolled and took in Toon Town (something my son would not want to do). I got to go in Mickey's and Minnie's house and took pictures. It was a treat, I tell you, not to have kids there! ha ha
So, I now have a taste of what it will be like without kids. heee
Did the train around the entire park and then saw Timekeeper (great show). Well, it was about 7pm or 7:30 pm and the mother in me came out and I did not want to be out until 11pm without son at my side (hee) so we strolled toward Main St. and ate a treat.....I had the brownie at the bakery. yum good and my first milk in the week. Back at room by 9pm.
Walgreens worked out great with the digital camera!! by the way -- just great. Lots of help from tips from you all really helped out sooooo much. I felt like the tour guide (and this was MY first time to boot)
