My husband and I were planning on taking our youngest to WDW in November(Jersey Week). He's 15 and we've never taken him on a trip alone without his siblings. My daughter got engaged last week:lovestruc and with the wedding and all the expenses that includes my husband is thinking of putting the trip off. But if we changed our resevations to a value I know we would still be able to go with no problem. Which value would you think would be a good choice for us to try ? I'm usually fussy one I think my husband and son would be good with any choice. I hate to cancel the trip, I think my son was really looking forward to it he never gets much alone time with Mom and Dad. I really need help because I'm not to familiar with these resorts.

All the value resorts are the same basically, it depends on what type of theme you are into... Myself, I prefer the Sports or Movies. The sports resort has some cool themes for a sports fan but the movies resort is set in the back and I believe is the quietest of the four.... Good luck with your decision and enjoy...

you'll always get a nice clean comfortable room at any of the Value resorts. its all just kept to the basics, which is really all you'll need since most of your time is spent in the parks anyways. but i always found that the rooms are always spotlessly clean which is a big finicky thing of mine. the POP star is the newest of the all stars

POP is a separate resort from the all-stars. It has its own buses and is very clean and a lot of fun. The theme is pop culture and it is my personal favorite. My 10 year old Dd loves it too.

All Star Music is our newest favorite - it's been totally refurbished, food court & shopping were great. Lots of activities for the kids and a much quieter resort than POP. POP is the largest of the values and is beginning to show it's age with wear & tear. We didn't share busses this past January at ASMu except one time, so busses weren't an issue. If you want a resort that's HUGE, not very quiet and packed to the rafters, choose POP. If you want something more quiet that you can relax and enjoy around the pool after a long day at the park, choose one of the All Stars. JMHO.......:goodvibes

Sports is my favorite! Music is designed straight back, so if you are in the country music building, it is quite a hike!
I think with 2 males, you can't go wrong with Sports!

I just want to Thank all of you for your input, but I think we might try Sports. The men in my family are huge sport fans and players, so I think it might be the best choice. Anyone have advise on a building we should request, or I really don't know to much about this resort :confused3 so any help would be appreciated.

Baseball is the closest to the main building and bus stops, and my personal favorite. DH and I stayed there in room 1313, and we freaked when we went on Tower of Terror and our room number was on all the merchendise in the gift shop!

Thanks iheartdisney, I wasn't even sure if there was a baseball building. It's my son favorite sport. He plays on several teams so I'm sure he'll feel right at home. I just hope I will enjoy it.

We have stayed at Sports for the last two years and absolutely love it!! My DH and DS are huge sports fans (especially baseball) and they don't want to stay anywhere else. We stayed in Surfs-Up the first time because it was closest to the food court but last year we stayed in the football section and thought it was great also.:thumbsup2 I wouldn't pay the extra money again for surfs Up because all the rooms are close to the food court. The busses were great and Sports is the first drop off and pick up for the All Stars. A lot of the time, especially being in the summer when we went, we had our own bus. I think you will be very surprised!!:goodvibes I've also read that this past year, all the rooms were refurbished! Have a great trip!:wave2:
