1st time to Europe - best plan?

In April 2016 for our 10th anniversary we are heading to London, Paris & Amsterdam -gotta see the tulips too!! "We" is myself, DH and DD (7yo at travel time). We are Marriott Rewards members so hotels are not an issue but HOW to get from one place to another is the issue. Do we start in London or finish in London? We are planning only 1 day in DL Paris -not seeing it ALL just things different from Cali & Orlando; unless I can be persuaded otherwise.

Do we start in London or finish in London?

Does it make any difference to your airfare where you start? It's very easy to travel between London and Paris, especially if using the eurostar, so it can be done either way round.

Sounds a great trip.

If you did want more than one day at DLRP I'd advise you stay onsite then you also don't need to worry about getting back into Paris late at night after park closing.

So with that in mind I'd do the trick in this order:

Amsterdam
Paris
DL Paris
London

As you can get a direct train from DLP to London so it would be the easiest way.

You could also do it backwards order from that, but this way you're seeing some Europe first and then doing Disney and London (maybe its because I live here but I don't count London as Europe. Lol.

After a while in foreign speaking countries it might be nice to end in the UK which is more like the US than it is the continent. But then I suppose vice versa it could be good to start in London and ease yourself in.

To travel around i would suggest trains

Between London and Paris is Eurostar, about 2 hours 15 minutes

Between London and Amsterdam is Eurostar to Brussels and then a Thalys trrain (essentially the French TGV train) to Amsterdam about 4 hours

Between Paris and Amsterdam is TGV to Brussels then Thalys, i think you can even get a direct Thalys from Paris to Amsterdam is about 3 hours

All three cities also have large international airports, and you may be able to find low cost air flights with the likes fo ryanair, Easy Jet, German Wings

So my opinion would be to book into and out of wherever your airfare is cheapest/most convienent and go from there, travel is very easy between major cities in Europe
