I usually go with my son and now his wife as well, but have done my last two trips solo and will be going in mid-May solo for F&G, I really enjoy it. I go to shows, which my son isn't fond of I went to the AK show for the first time in Sept. and loved it. I spend a lot of time just wandering around, sitting on benches and watching people and not so much riding rides when I'm solo. I still ride my favs but don't sweat it if I can't get on. I always go to the tea at Grand Floridian and even when my son goes on the trip I do that one solo. I love to tour resorts and usually spend at least one day just doing that, visiting the resorts I've never stayed at or probably won't (I'm not much for the value and moderates so visiting those for a few hours lets me check them out). There is a all day tour that does all 4 parks and has lunch at the WL which is kind of fun, you get to ride on some of the rides at each park and go behind the scenes. A couple of the resorts give tours of the hotel, I know BW does and I'm pretty sure AKL and WL do as well. My favorite park is Epcot so I go there just about every day of my trip, just going around the World showcase and poking around in the quiet places. It's a good time to relax and take it easy, the cast members are always friendly and pleasant to me when I'm alone and have even had the chef come out of the kitchen if I'm eating at a TS just to chat.
