I have been to Disneyland And Disney World many times over the years with my daughter. She is heading off to college this August and I am taking my first vacation solo. Would love to hear from solo veterans of things to do and see...tours and extras. The Albert's & Victoria's dinner is not my scene...don't mind spending money but not a fancy individual per se. Thanks!!

I usually go with my son and now his wife as well, but have done my last two trips solo and will be going in mid-May solo for F&G, I really enjoy it. I go to shows, which my son isn't fond of I went to the AK show for the first time in Sept. and loved it. I spend a lot of time just wandering around, sitting on benches and watching people and not so much riding rides when I'm solo. I still ride my favs but don't sweat it if I can't get on. I always go to the tea at Grand Floridian and even when my son goes on the trip I do that one solo. I love to tour resorts and usually spend at least one day just doing that, visiting the resorts I've never stayed at or probably won't (I'm not much for the value and moderates so visiting those for a few hours lets me check them out). There is a all day tour that does all 4 parks and has lunch at the WL which is kind of fun, you get to ride on some of the rides at each park and go behind the scenes. A couple of the resorts give tours of the hotel, I know BW does and I'm pretty sure AKL and WL do as well. My favorite park is Epcot so I go there just about every day of my trip, just going around the World showcase and poking around in the quiet places. It's a good time to relax and take it easy, the cast members are always friendly and pleasant to me when I'm alone and have even had the chef come out of the kitchen if I'm eating at a TS just to chat.

Hello Rob - I too am going solo later in the year. I at first thought it would be an awful idea to go alone until Istarted to read threads about how much fun doing it solo can be... and I must say that the more I think about it the more I agree and can see myself doing this. Sorry I dont have any suggestions for you. But if youve been there a number of times at least you are familiar with what you want to do and how you want to do it. One thing I do want to do is not dinner but afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian hotel.

Anyway... enjoy! I'd love to hear how it goes and I would like to stay in touch. I just clicked to FOLLOW your posts.. i hope thats okay. If not I will certainly unfollow!

During my last solo trip in November, I really enjoyed exploring different resorts on my own. I ate at The Wave and then explored the Contemporary; I explored the Grand Floridian and did some shopping at Basin White; and then I explored Wilderness Lodge and ate at Roaring Fork. Another day, I exited EPCOT and explored the BC/YC and ate at Captain's Grill, then took the boat to DHS from there.

I also sat at the bar at some lounges, I liked that for talking with the bartender and people coming up to the bar. I really liked the Victoria Falls Lounge at the AKL.
