We are planning a trip to southern California in early April. We are staying at the Grand Californian for several days and then travelling to San Diego for a few more. The City Pass seems like an ideal way to go. Is there anything I'd be missing by using this ticket in leiu of regular Disney Park Hopper tickets? I'm assuming we get magic morning every day because of where we're staying, right? It looks like Costco.com has as slightly discounted price on the City Pass.

Thanks for your advice.

Yes you will get MM each day they have it as a resort guest.

As long as you go to enough of the options that citypass offers to make it worthwhile, it's a good deal.

Not quite. You will get MM entry every morning it is offered during your stay since you're staying at GCH. MM is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Thanks for the clarification. ;)

How about Fast Pass privelages? Are they the same using City Pass tickets?

I am thinking of doing this also... anyone know if I can add a day to the park hopper?? I really want 4 days--- I figure I can add it at the gate.... not ahead of time but has anyone done it? thanks Jill

I have the same question.

Same ? We are going back & forth between 6 day parkhoppers plus Sea World or getting citypass and upgrading to 4 day parkhoppers for our 7th day. I have upgraded a parkhopper before but have never used citypass this way.

If I recall correctly, there's not a way to add another day/s to the City Pass tickets until you pick them up. If you purchased the booklet somewhere other than Disneyland, you have a coupon like thing that the CM has to process in order to get your ticket. If you purchase the booklet at Disneyland, the ticket prints out and you pick up the rest of the booklet at Guest Services, or City Hall, someplace like that. Once they've been printed, then you can upgrade them (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Just remember to upgrade before the end of your last day - if you have a 4 day ticket, use all 4 days, go to San Diego, then come back and try to upgrade, your ticket is already expired.

HTH!

How much does it cost to add on to the 3 day city pass hopper?

To upgrade a ticket it costs the difference between the two. However it gets tricky because with the citypass you can't tell how much of it's cost is the Disney component. You could end up loosing the discount citypass provided when you upgrade.

was wondering the same as others. has anyone got the city pass then added more dates to the disney part and if so around how much was it.

i read the other posts but was just wondering if there was anyone who has actually done this.

thanks :)
