Hi everyone. We are flying to WDW for our first DVC stay. The hubbies are staying home and it's a girls trip for just after Labor Day.
Firstly my friend is using points from RCI or something for the BWV. Is there something she should be doing or confirming before just showing up?I have no idea if any sort of view category was booked or not. I'm used to the hotels onsite, etc, the DVC thing is new so I'm not sure of how to confirm things, if at all. I'm usually the planner. Since these are not my points I'm a bit lost.

Next in the what to bring category, I'm assuming it will be just like the thread regarding" what to bring for a studio. ". Basically same advice? We just have a full size fridge? Will it be the same plastic utensils and bowls/plates?

Is there wifi?

I'm excited and just realized it is just around the corner!!

Thanks!!

The kitchen will be fully equipped and have real plates and silverware as well as pot and pan essentials. There will be a full size fridge, oven/stove and microwave as well as dishwasher.

And yes - there is wifi in the resort rooms.

I would guess the view is probably garden/pool as that is commonly the only views available to non-DVC reservations.

If you are flying in she will want to make Magical Express reservations through member services but otherwise you don't need to confirm anything.

I think with an RCI reservation, there's a fee that has to be paid at check-in. $95?

You'll want to bring ANY food (including salt and pepper, ketchup and coffee) that you will use in the room. There will be a starter set of hotel coffee, enough for a pot your first morning, and there MIGHT be some little salt and pepper and/or ketchup packets - I think those are left from people who grab them from restaurants and don't use them, I don't think they are really provided :). Coffee filters (the basket kind) and laundry detergent (you'll have a washer dryer in the room - and you'll get a small box - enough for a load or two, anything more and you'll buy it). Shampoo, etc (you'll get a small amount, but likely not enough unless you are not a big shampoo user) Everything else - towels, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper - will be supplied and should be there in enough quantity, but if you run out, call housekeeping for more.

Bring laundry soap if you are staying for any length of time and plan on doing laundry. This year I am packing the laundry soap pods, hopefully they will not burst in the suitcase. LOL
One of the nice things about staying in 1 bedroom is the laundry and the ability to bring less clothes
