I leave tomorrow morning, and I'm getting nervous. :sad2:

Anyone else felt like this?

You'll be fine, I just got back from my first solo trip and trust me many times I wanted to cancel but I never did. Taking a solo trip was the best decision I ever made lol no really I had a blast. Are you meeting up with any Dis'ers or are you just completely solo?

I just got back last night from my first ever solo trip and am already planning my second. go for it! You will have an awesome time!

Being nervous is okay, just don't let it stop you from doing it. I guarantee, once you've gone solo, you'll be tempted to go solo all the time!

Have fun! You can get a lot done solo.

I am going solo in September, I am travelling from Australia and my nightmare is getting through all the airports as I am spending 3 days in Memphis first.

Solo trips are awesome! Doing your own thing whenever you want, trying new stuff. I love it! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the family trips, too. But there's something magical about being on your own in disney. I've never felt uncomfortable or out of place in any of the TS restaurants like you might in the real world.

Had a GREAT time... But missed being home.. and I was only gone 2 days!
Any questions let me know.. I stayed off site, and hopped for 2 days.

I'm going Thursday the 28 - Sunday the 31. It's my first solo trip too. I'm staying off site and I'm more excited than nervous. I have no plans other than room, flight and car rental. I haven't even totally decided which park to go to which days!!! I'm looking forward to it!!

I did this just a few weeks ago. Had NO PLANS OR COMMITMENTS and it turned out to be one of my BEST TRIPS EVER!! And this is coming from someone who usually plans each day out when at WDW!!

Enjoy!! :cool1:

You make me feel a little more at ease! I'm a planner and I'm trying to step out of my box. Thank you! I leave tomorrow and I'm really excited!!

It really is alot of fun just winging it sometimes. Some people even walk out to the bus stop and take the first bus that comes along to whatever park - I haven't gotten to that point yet. Maybe next trip. :goodvibes

Have a great time!

I am in Orlando right now enjoying my spontaneous, solo trip. I decided this morning which park to go to, got to Studios about 9:40 am and walked right in to a spot for the 10:00 Kris Allen (newest American Idol) parade! It was great! I couldn't have planned it better! :thumbsup2

Hope you had a great trip - where did you stay and what did you do? Would you do it again? I loved my first solo trip (I travelled from the UK on my own) and am looking forward to doing it again. However, I bought in to DVC on that trip and don't seem to be short of people wanting to come with me so another solo trip looks unlikely for the next year or two!!

The best thing I did on my 1st solo trip was....

I was at Epcot planning on seeing Illuminations, at 8:30p, I just didn't "feel like it", sooooooo I "hopped" on the monorail, to the TTC, the "hopped" on the MK monorail, and made it to Main Street "just" in time for SpectroMagic!!!! I had to "thank" Mickey for my surprise Tinkerbell special edition pin I was given at the Boardwalk Resort. And then I ate and watched Wishes. What a great night! You could not do that if you were with other people!!!!

Okay, on ANY trip, whether solo or not, I plan my dining ressies, then decide parks. It works like this. . .say I have dinner at Epcot: Well then the plan would be for illuminations and EMH if they had them that night, if not, probably JR's on the boardwalk. If I have Breakfast somewhere early (say; Crystal Palace) then that is the park I am at for the morning. The rest of the day, say if I go back to the hotel for a swim, is whatever comes along bus-wise is where I go.
