1st nite? @ airport or wdw?

We are coming in @ about 10pm, and just wondering since plan on using disney bus:

should we stay at airport hotel 1st nite, we presently have hyatt reserved (in there club), but what happens with luggage we carry it out to bus, I'm guessing.

or

Is it better, more "vacation-y" to stay at a wdw resort, and get picked up there, will it be to late to check- in for the cruise that nite or can you do it in the morning? Would they pick up our luggage outside of room, or would we be checking in too late? We are spending 10 days at wdw after cruise, so not trying to do anything at wdw in morning or that nite.

Where would you leave earlier from to get to the port earlier?

Any advantages, to either I'm not thinking about?

Personally, I would stay at the Hyatt the night before the cruise. You will leave your luggage outside your door to be picked up by Hyatt/DCL staff. They'll take it and the next time you'll see it will be in your stateroom.

The biggest benefit of staying near the airport is that you can get an earlier DCL bus to Port the next morning. When you stay at WDW, the busses get to port quite late and you may miss Spa, Palo, etc. reservation times. Last time we took the DCL bus from Port, we didn't get to there until almost 2pm.

I didn't know they would pick up luggage at the hyatt also! Disney told me the 1st bus would leave the airport at 10am, so hoping to get on that. We haven't booked it yet cause waiting for the ap discounts at resort's, have the poly and planning to keep but just in case make a change, didn't know if we could change the bus info, so thought would wait to book bus till all plans finallized. We are not land / sea we are "on our own".

This will be our 3 day try out cruise, not really into "spa" and don't think will have time on 3 day to try it out. Would like Palo but if we can't, won't be heart broken, will be more determined next time.

Thought we would try the "disney" bus thing this time, and see how we like it, cause we are staying at wdw for 10 nites after total 14 nites gone, so that's alot of luggage even with wash day!

Just got back and the way I see it since you are arriving so late on Friday I would certainly not spend the money on the hyatt!! You will be on the disney bus by 9:30 in the morning!!! You can chose from many hotels that offer airport shuttles for much, much less money!!!
