What an incredible trip. The best part of boarding the ship and heading up to deck 11 was running into friends from my daughters day care. The girls played all 4 days. The parents were even nice enought to take our daughter with them on Pirate Night for dinner. DH and I had reservations at Palo(which was WONDERFUL) BACK ON TRACK
Our cabin was 5032-much bigger than we thought in would be, loved the extended verandah. Beds and pillows were so comfortable we slept like babies all 4 nights. Stateroom attendant was a wonderful lady(I don't remeber where she was from but she rocked)
1st night was a little rocky-DD and I almost got sick but we made it through the night. Our dinner was Enchanted Garden, Royal Palace, Animators Palate last 2 nights.
Dinner at all the restaurants were great and they catered to the kids which is why we picked Disney. We did decide if we went on another cruise we would dine by ourselves. DH is not very sociable.
Rained the entire time we were in the Bahamas. We did not get off the ship-chose to do Midship Detectives followed by watching the Avengers. Did get to see Brave the morning after it came out that was cool.
Loved everthing about the Disney Dream. We are looking to probably book the same cruise next year and bring my mom so she can enjoy a trip with grandaughter.

It was our first cruise and we had a blast. I agree - the weather was a little spotty - especially in Nassua - you were being very optimistic that it rained - it POURED for hours on end!!
We weren't really planning anything that day, but it was nice to get off the ship to take pictures once it finally calmed down. We had an extended aft verandah (far aft) and could feel the movement the first night out but didn't have any issues. The last night coming back to Port Canaveral there were really strong winds due to the whole Debby issue and the divider between our verandah and the one next door literally blew off and was flapping something fierce in the wind. We were already in our pi's but our cabin steward was nearby and he brought one of his friends in and they tied it with rope so it wouldn't flap all night and he said it would be best to fix it the next morning since we'd be in port and that way we wouldn't have to stay up any longer. He was a gem and he and his friend got soaked fixing it.
We were looking online last weekend and noticed great OGT rates on the 8/15 Dream sailing so we thought about it for several hours and then booked it! We have free flights through SWA and DS is still out of school then so we decided why not! It was over $1000 cheaper than our last Dream sailing that we booked 14 months out!
