1br's that sleep 5

I've been out of the DVC loop in recent years. I'm aware that AKV and BLT have 1br units that sleep 5 and have 2 bathrooms (yay! stayed in both and loved them!)- but I was wondering if there's any word on other existing WDW DVC's adding the sleeper chair to make the 1br's sleep 5. While having the extra bathroom is nice, we can manage without it- did fine staying at POR and in other hotels that fit our family.

So, any of the other resorts "upgrading" their 1br's?

Now that renovations are complete at OKW, I believe the 1BRs now sleep 5. We arrive in less than 2 weeks to check it out!

our last stay at BWV was still the same.....no sleeper chair. it would be great if they did make the change!

Of the older DVCs, only OKW has added the sleeper chairs. Of course, there is still only one bathroom in the one bedroom units there.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. But I believe all the 1 br will allow you to have 5 sleep in them. They just don't supply the bedding or towels. But you can bring an air mattress.

That is exactly what I was told when I booked my first DVC last August.
All 1bedrooms allow 5 but you bring your own linens etc. The MS person I spoke to sais,"people bring sleeping bag or air matress for the extra guest".

That is very good to know!!

One Bedroom Villas that sleep 5:

Old Key West
Vero Beach
Bay Lake Tower
Animal Kingdom Villas (except Value rooms)
Grand Californian
Aulani

The Two Bedroom villas at those same locations sleep 9, as do the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs.

All except the value rooms at AKV. Max occupancy of 4 is rigidly enforced there due to the small size of the room.
