I just booked a minivan for February for $199/week ($253 with taxes/fees). :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I did a little playing around with the dates (I tried the 1st-8th of each month) and the same rates came up from January 2011-August 2011.

The one thing that you have to have to get this rate is the drop off time has to be at least 1 hour before your original pick-up time. For example, if you pick it up at 1pm you have to have a drop off time of 12pm or sooner. (I found this out the hard way when I searched for a car and got the $199 rate, then changed around the dates/times and couldn't get that $199 again. It went up to as much as $1,200/week with different times on the same days!)

Also, the $199 rate is for almost all car types from economy to premium pick up.

Hope this helps someone! :thumbsup2

Nice find! Worked for my February trip, though only three categories were $199. Economy and Compact were $199.01 and full-size crossover was $199.99. Midsize (which I usually book so I can do Emerald Aisle) was $229.99.

I was able to add the Entertainment Book contract ID and a free day coupon. After adding those, I got a full-size crossover for $224.09 with tax.

I just realized your title said from the Car Care Center. My rental was from MCO. So apparently there are some $199/wk rates at both locations!

Mary, I have gotten so much useful info from your website over the past few years that I am glad I could actually share something with you!!!

I went back and used a coupon and contract Id from the Entertainment book and got -$50 off of my reservation, so it is now down to $200.57/week with taxes & fees. :cool1::cool1:

Wow! That's a great deal.

For anyone renting from the CCC this is an especially fantastic deal because even minivans, convertibles and premium cars are $199.

I'm very happy with my deal on a crossover from the airport, too. Thanks!

Try the continental airlines contract id, that will provide you with 15% discount, and if you have Entertainment, they have an e coupon for 30$ off, brings the total down to 197$ approximately for journey on Emerald Reserve

Hmm, my 2010 Entertainment Books only have a $20 off weekly coupon. The free day works out better, because that takes off $27.14.

Oh, wait, you said e-coupon. Is that from entertainment.com? I'll have to go check.

You're right about the Continental Contract ID. I did get 15% off - much better than the 5% off I'm getting from Entertainment Book.

It always pays to keep playing around. Thanks!

Yes that is an entertainment e coupon.

Ent. Book 2010 (exp. 06/2011) - $30 off 5-day rental, Sat. night keep

I have to admit, I never even knew there were e-coupons on the Entertainment Book site. I found it, used it and you're right - $30 off from the Continental contract ID, $30 off from the e-coupon. $197 total. Wow. Thank you!

Thank you all so much. My Feb. dates don't work for MCO but it's $199 at the CCC for almost all categories. And with the Entertainment Book online code, my minivan total is $200.57.

Thanks for the heads up! I didn't even think of booking my National car rental this far in advance because I don't have my airfare booked yet for next March.

I just booked 10 days total in a midsize (because I'll have Executive status at National next March) from MCO for $234.18. That's a great rate! Was $159.99 per week base rate before online Entertainment book coupon and the Continental code 5007160.

Note that I could make the reservation with a noon arrival and a 6 pm departure. Maybe I could do that because it was longer than a 1 week rental?

I just booked a Full Size (Emerald Reserve) using the Continental Code and $40 off 10 day coupon from the Entertainment Book for $223.xx all in. It is a very good start for early spring break....... now I will keep an eye on bringing it down every further.... this is MCO.

Whether I rent from MCO or the CCC - my weekly rate for Feb 24-March 3 is hundreds of dollars more! Besides, I'd have to pay $60 to park it at the cruise terminal for 4 days. I'll stick with two one-way rentals for now.

Just did a quick check and those dates do work for the $199 rate @ the CCC, but not MCO. The key is to have your drop off time at least one hour before your initial pick up time (for example, pick up 2/24 @ noon and drop off 3/3 @ 11am). I found that out when I was booking and had the $199 rate come up, then fiddled with the reservation and then the rate disappeared and I couldn't figure how to get the rate back again until I kept fiddling around with the times and finally got it to come back!

Yeah, I put this offer up on my site and I've heard from a couple of people that it doesn't seem to be working in mid to late February. I just tried a bunch of dates and the blackout is on pickups February 17-27 (at the airport, at least). You can pick up on February 16 or February 28 at $199, but not between those dates.

It also appears as though you cannot pick up at CCC but drop off at MCO.

These rates also appear to be good at the Swolphin desk for many weeks.

Also works at Buena Vista Palace across from Downtown Disney.

You can't mix and match any of the pick-up/drop-off locations. I've tried every combo, I think.

Using my Emerald Club code, I got it as low as $264 + taxes for an economy car from the CCC, Dolphin, or MCO ($342.58 with taxes but before coupon) for Feb. 24-March 3 - but it's still cheaper for me to do two one-way rentals.

I don't understand that price. I just tried your dates from the CCC. As long as you return the car at least one hour earlier than you pick it up, the total with the Continental Airlines Contract ID is $221.87 for almost ANY car type, including a minivan. And that's the TOTAL, with taxes!
