I used to go dto disney almost annually. My family and I jueturned, and in packing, we found 3-day tickets from 1986 with an unused day on each. They're quite real and have no expiration. Should we use them, save/frame them, or sell them? Please advise soon, so we can know what to buy today!

Woo hooo! We're back a DisneyWorld!

Why not use them and them save them? You get to keep the ticket.

I'm not sure, but older tickets may be significantly more valueable with unused days on them. That's because you can actually see that the days are unused. Isn't there a Disneyana forum here? I thought there was. Those would be the best folks to ask...

Actually, if you use them, you will need to go to Guest Relations and have them converted to a current ticket with the magnetic strip. I'm pretty sure they won't allow you to keep the ticket as a memento. So if you do decide to use it, you will lose the ticket.

As to whether or not you should use it - the ticket is worth more as is. You will only get a credit based on 1986 pricing, so I would really advise against using it as a credit toward new admission.

So that leaves you with the option of keeping the ticket as a souvenir, or using it as is. I, personally, would use the ticket. I'm too lazy to look into it's value to a collector. I, myself, am not a collector - so it would be worth more as admission to me.

Just my $.02.

That's what I would do, too.

Best wishes -

That is correct, Guest Relations will not allow you to keep the ticket. They will give you a new "Paper Exchange" ticket with the magnetic strip for the remaining day(s).

Guest Relations will have to keep it to justify giving out a "free" ticket.

Also it is my understanding that you will not be able to use it an AK or MGM as they were not open back then. I know I have tickets from the early 90's that specificaly stay that they are "not valid at any park commencing operation after May 1, 1989." In other words it is only valit at MK, Epcot, and MGM.

They were enforcing that policy when each new park opened, but have since been allowing for use at all 4 parks.

I collect WDCC figurines, not tickets- but I can't imagine they are worth all that much (unless they have some sentimental value to you). If you had an original pack of the old tickets that used the lettering system they would be worth saving, but I don't see the ones you have being of any value. Personally, I would use them- but that's just me.
