I received as a gift this morning at Church a "Complimentary Main gate Admission" ticket. The ticket looks exactly like: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dfpgKJLrp...tCNJeuB4/s1600/Comp.+Main+Gate+Sept.+1981.JPG The only difference is the numbers on mine say TX111981 (I'm guessing 1981)? There is no expiration date.

The back side says in teeny italics: These coupons are not subject to refund and may be used only for admission as indicated. Listed attractions are subject to price change and availability without notice.

Underneath the above in a little bigger, and regular all CAPS font, it says: All coupons in this book are good at any time during Disneyland's regular operating hours. Not for sale.

My dear friend Mary who gave it to me, knows how big a DL fan I am and said she found it while doing some house cleaning and organizing. I have an AP right now valid through early December. I am for sure planning a couple day trip end of November. I'm local so if it cools off may go before then and ask at the ticket counter if this has any value. I thought I'd ask on here as I think I remember reading a few threads where old tickets with no expiration did end up having some value at the gate.

Thank you! I will make a copy of this ticket before hand for my scrapbook, it's cool :)

I'd save it. All unused admission tickets without expiration dates are apparently still good for a one-day admission to Disneyland Park. This would have to be handled at guest services. The ride coupons obviously can't be used any more.

Thank you, Bcla. I will bring it with me on my next trip and ask at City Hall. If it does have value, once my AP has expired, I would bring it to a ticket window outside the gates right?

You can call Guest Services now to find out if the ticket is still valid for entry, but I believe it will be honored. Tony Baxter says that even a ticket from opening day in 1955 would be valid today.

I guess I could call, huh? :p I never thought of that. I could also do a chat. Wow! That would be awesome to have an actual 1955 ticket! Thank you, theluckyrabbit :)

i'd think an unused 1955 ticket would be too valuable.

Now I have seen complete ticket books for sale on eBay. I thought about it when I saw the price was less than current admission. Some are incomplete but have the admission ticket.

I just chatted with a CM named Debbie (online). She said the only way to determine if the ticket has value is to bring it to a ticket window.

A 1955 unused ticket would be a collector's item for sure and possibly very valuable!

The VALUE of a COMPLIMENTARY ticket regardless of when from is ZERO. It is generally still good for admission but would have no value toward an upgrade

^Admission would be awesome by me, Disneychrista, thanks for that. I got my AP last year mostly as a gift and won't be renewing this coming year. So an extra free Disney Day would be most welcomed :)
