1900 Park Fare ???

I thought the food was good and I have allergies so my choices were more limited. My family enjoyed the food though. The characters are so fun!

We love breakfast there. They have REAL bacon vs the paper thin bacon they serve at most other buffets.

I can't say anything bad about the food, because I was concentrating on character interaction. There was nothing bad about the food, but I wasn't impressed with anything either. I wanted to try strawberry soup, but forgot to get it at both breakfast & dinner...:confused3

Having eaten at 1900PF numerous times I think the food is disappointing. The pasta station is good as is the salad. I didn't care for desserts especially the ice cream thing they plopped on the table last year. We've always gone for the great character interaction.

My DBF and I went to 1900 for dinner in 2008...food was ok, service was lousy, characters were entertaining, did NOT appreciate not being seated until 45 minutes AFTER our ADR when we were 15 minutes early.
Fast Forward to Oct 2010...DH and I arrived 15 minutes prior to our ADR (which was at 4:45pm) At 5:30pm and NO apology and very discourteous CM, we left and wound up eating CS at GF then went to MNSSHP. What was equally maddening was a group of 10 showed up 45 minutes BEFORE their ADR (which was after ours) and were seated within 10 minutes!
Have no desire to try again!

When I went there on my February trip I thought the food was pretty good. Service was okay. The characters were pretty good too. But I'll second what other PPs have said. Don't let reviews influence you too much I've enjoyed things others didn't (SGE and CRT lunch which gets some mixed reviews) and hated what others enjoyed (Garden Grove dinner (way too spicy) and on the ride tangent the soon to be gone Snow White ride).

I agree with others and don't focus only on the reviews. I will say we enjoyed the characters very much! DS2 loved the step mother and step sisters and one of our best pictures from the whole trip was of DD4 and Cinderella there. We were not impressed with the food. It wasn't bad, but we had better and just were not impressed. For that reason we are not going back this trip.

I think it also depends on the night and the people. I think we are the only family anywhere that did not like Boma so our review might not carry much weight.

My husband and I just made ressies for 1900 for our first trip without our kids!! I know, I know, it may seem strange, but we used to love this place when our kids were little. Enjoy The Magic!

Dmim, I don't think that that is strange at all! You told me to enjoy the Magic. pixiedust: Think about it. That's exactly what you and your husband are doing. You're allowing yourselves to see WDW the way kids see it, with all of the Magic and you're going to really enjoy it. Isn't that what Mr. Disney wants us to do; isn't that why he started all of this? So parents and children could enjoy the fun together and adults could find the Magic again.

Well we decided to give it another try last year and we were soooooooo glad we did. :thumbsup2We had Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Stepsister and the Fairy Godmother and they were fabulous.

Thanks, Tinker. That's exactly the character action I'm hoping for. It's a 'girls only' trip, and I'd love to tell the step sisters that my one friends favorite person (other than her DH) is Cinderella and see what they do to her. I've heard that they're hilarious. I hope we get good Cms that night!

Sorry that you had those terrible experiences, Chelly. I'd be more than upset over that, also. Especially at the GF for crying in a bucket. I hope you at least had a good time at MNSSHP.

You're right, Star, that you can't really go by reviews, but it's at least interesting to see other guests thoughts and experiences. Everyone has different tastes especially when it comes to food. BTW, I'm right there with you as far as the old Snow White dark ride is concerned. I love that original little ride and I will miss it dearly. My only consolation is the fact that I have some photos that I took in it over the years that came out beautifully to remember it by, and I will be very excited to see the new Dwarf's cottage and Diamond Ride in the extension. :worried:

This is one of our favorites. We're heading back for dinner there in October again. The characters are great and we found the food to bne very tasty. We also enjoy the breakfast very much as well. But that doesn't have the characters you're looking for.

Mickeye, Thanks!! Yes that's just what hubby and I are going to do, enjoy the magic!! I think he is more excited about it than I am. He remembers the food, he always said he thought it was the best character buffet in WDW and we used to go to them all Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Castle (although not a buffet). My daughter thinks it's cute and wants pictures of us with the characters. We are really looking forward to our trip!! And again, as always....

Enjoy The Magic!!

We were just there on Saturday and all 4 adults enjoyed their meals. Even my husband who wasn't happy with the price enjoyed it
