We are doing the Cinderella Gala Feast our first night at Disney. Is it normal that the girls dress up? My DD would like to wear her Cinderella attire and I just wanted to make sure she won't be out of place dressed like that.

I have seen lots of little girls dressed up at various locations in the World :)
I think she will fit in perfectly. We ate here a few years ago and enjoyed it very much.

Yes dress up! My dd(7) last trip went dressed as Belle(sucker here bought the dress at Disney a huge no- no of any disney planner but I got caught up in the moment she is my only girl.... I digress.) She loved it and I would say it was about 50/50 with the dressing up but I will say the Prince Charming really plays up to the princesses in dresses. He would pull out my daughters chair and help her carry her plate !!! At the end of the night she said" wow he really is charming!"

My DD's too big for most costumes, but she made sure to wear a tiara and princess tee shirt when we went out.

We're doing 1900 Park Fare this upcoming trip and I made appointments for DD and her friend at the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique to get a sparkle makeover, plus I'll have them wear dresses. DD is 10 and her friend is 9.

We also do 1900 Park Faire for dinner our first night.
Our tween DD does wear a Disney princess t-shirt and when we go to WDW in June it is always her birthday.

I order a cake from 1900 Park Faire (in advance - 407-824-2578) and they bring the cake with a tiara (she gets to keep).

This year she wants Disney earings to wear to dinner. It will be an easy present to pack and hide for her. Maybe we'll make it her birthday present that night. How cool is that :cool1:
