1900 Park Fare W/ 4 year old boy?

I am almost done figuring out our dining for our December trip when I realized I hadn't planned any character meals. We will be doing Donald's Breakfastsarus (sp?) in AK since Donald is one of my son's favorite characters.

I don't really see him doing a purely Princess Breakfast (and we did Cinderella's castle 3 years ago when he was a baby and my daughter who was 8 at the time was in heaven ! But alas she isn't dying to do a princess meal this time.

So I was thinking about 1900 Park Fare. The whole family loves Mary Poppins (DH, DD and DS and myself of course.) I also read Alice is there and we all like her a lot too!

So how is the experience including the food, and the characters, etc. Also am I correct that 8 is the earliest time you can book for breakfast?

WE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR DISNEY TRIP AND 1900 PARK FARE WAS OUR BOYS (DS5 & DS1) FIRST CHARACTER MEAL! MY FAMILY, AS YOURS, LOVES MARY POPPINS. SO, IT WAS AN OBVIOUS CHOICE FOR US!

WHEN WE ARRIVED MARY POPPINS WAS SITTING ON THE BENCH OUTISDE OF THE RESTAURANT. WE GOT HER AUTOGRAPH AND SEVERAL PICS WITH HER. MY DS 5 WAS SO EXCITED BECAUSE SHE LET HIM HOLD HER UMBRELLA AND HE GOT TO SHOW OFF HIS HOMEMADE AUTOGRAPH BOOK!

INSIDE, WAS ALICE AND THE MAD HATTER (WHO IS NUTS!!!!) AND TO OUR SURPRISE TIGGER AND POOH WERE THERE ON THAT MORNING, WHICH WAS A WONDERFUL SURPRISE TO EVERYONE! TIGGER CAME TO OUR TABLE FIRST, WHICH WE NOW REGRET, AS HE IS VERY TOUCHY AND THAT SCARED DS1 AND THAT WAS THE END OF HIS CHARACTER INTERACTION FOR THE TRIP!! THEN POOH CAME, JUST LONG ENOUGH TO SIGN THE BOOK AND TAKE A PICTURE. THE MAD HATTER WAS GREAT AND SO WAS ALICE!

THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL, WHO CAN SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT A WAFFLE SHAPED LIKE MICKEY!! THEY HAVE A GREAT VARIETY OF FOODS (ICE CREAM TOO!) AND ALSO AN OMLET STATION. I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE CROWDED IN THE LINES FOR FOOD, BUT IT WASN'T. WE ATE, AND VISITED WITH ALL OF THE CHARACTERS IN ABOUT 45 MINS OR LESS!

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS FOR YOUR TRIP! IT WAS A GREAT START TO OUR VACATION!

We went to 1900 Park Faire for the Cinderella Dinner with my 4 year old son. He LOVED it. I don't know about the breakfast, but that one sounds great too.

We had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare when my son was 4 - different characters then, but the food was excellent - lots of delicious pastries, omelets, etc. I think Disney has wonderful breakfasts, though I suppose not everyone agrees. We were all stuffed and happy when we left. We are going back this year for the Cinderella dinner!
