1900 Park Fare, Teppan Edo, or something else?

GS4.5 and I are spending the first half of the day at Epcot then going to MK for EMH. I have an ADR for 1900PF, but in trying to squeeze in everything, I'm wondering if it would be a better use of time and as much fun to go to Teppan Edo. He’s princess obsessed, but we’re doing Akershus the night before, plus we have 4 other character meals scheduled during our 5 night trip (I got the dining plan). He’s not the type to sit quietly through a meal, which is one reason I’m planning on meals with entertainment. Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

1900 Park Fare is a hoot, the girls loved the stepsisters and the evil stepmother. The stepsisters can be fun with little boys as they "hunt" for a husband.

I've not been to 1900 PF (but planning on it next year) but I will say that Teppan Edo is some of the worse food we've had at Disney. It was so bland and the service wasn't great either. It gets a lot of love here and we love hibachi so were excited to try it, but we can get way better hibachi at home.

With so many character meals booked (including one with Princesses the day before), my vote is for Teppan Edo. Most kids get a real kick out of watching the chefs. Plus, it might be a nice break for you. I think the food is perfectly acceptable at Teppan Edo and would select it over just about any character meal except maybe Tusker House.

This is the key. If you can get hibachi at home, don't waste a Disney meal at TE. Most hibachi places you'll find at home will have better food, better options and a better show. TE is fine if you have nothing to compare it to, but if you do, it won't be as good.

1900 PF is good, but if you are looking for something different than princesses with entertainment and wouldn't mind sitting with other people (much like you would have at TE), consider Biergarten. It's very festive, the food is good and there is a band that plays that he might enjoy.

If he's princess-obsessed, I would really try to get to 1900. It's really fun! Teppan Edo is pretty mediocre. The food is bland and it was the worst teppanyaki show I've seen - super short and not very entertaining.

I agree!! Teppan Edo was far below the quality of the hibachi place we eat at home. It was a one and done for us. My vote would be 1900 park fare all the way - especially since he's a fan of princesses. Cindy's stepsisters were fantastic as well for character interaction when we went.

Thanks for the Biergarten idea! That sounds like something we'd both really enjoy (we love to dance!). I looked at several reviews, and they were mostly quite positive. I'm really sorry to give up on the Cinderella dinner, but there are just so many hours in the day, and I'd rather not spend the time in transit. I'll put it on the list for next time. Really appreciate the input everyone!
