I ate there in Feb for Breakfast and besides the great interaction with the characters the food and service were the worst I have ever had in Disney. Will rather have breakfast at Ohana

Although I wouldn't say disgusting, NOT GREAT I agree with. We have gone there every year, because of Cinderella. But I cant be more happy that this coming trip DD decided she would rather see Alice at B-fast. Dinner is WAAAY overpriced for the food.

My DH and I really enjoy 1900 Park Fare. If you decide to try it, I'd love to know what you think of it. :surfweb:
so glad you posted this. never ate there & doesn't look like we will now.

Don't let one person's opinion sway you because it's just that - their opinion. If you do a search, you will find bad reviews on every single restaurant at WDW. If you start cutting them off your list because of what someone else says, you'll have nowhere to eat!

Seriously, the only way to know if it's good is to try for yourself. For example, ABC Commissary gets horrible reviews here and DH and I enjoyed it and thought the food was good. See what I mean? :teeth:

Agreed we were very disappointed in the food there for dinner. The characters were really awesome though.

NOTE: The breakfast is actually pretty good among WDW character
buffets, which are known for characters and not known for food quality.
It is varied and the quality is well above average. Arguably only second
to Tusker House for character breakfasts. However, I would stay away
from the dinner as the quality is well below average and easily termed
mediocre. It is good to mention that the character interaction is quite
good at both meals, and the Grand Floridian surroundings are well above
places like Chef Mickey's.

I am always amazed at the number of people who criticise the quality of the food at character meal lunches and dinners? Honestly, what did you expect? You are paying those exhorbitant prices for the characters, not the food. Although, I have to say that MOST of the buffets are not bad. Just not great. There are a couple that I will never eat at again, but 1900 PF isn't one of them. And while it's not gourmet by any means, I don't think I'd call Golden Corral disgusting.

The meal is subpar but the characters are very good. My daughter Loved the stepsisters and prince charming. We also really enjoyed the Ohana breakfast

Meh, I don't think its disgusting. It's not the best meal at WDW, but I don't think it's the worst either. Although I will pretty much eat anything that doesnt eat me first. :rotfl2:

Agree with this. I didn't like California Grill or Le Cellier but others love them. I like the Studio Catering Company and Sci Fi Dine In but others bash those.

I'm all for expressing opinions on this board but to the other posters, don't base your trip on what others have to say. It's YOUR vacation, not a person's you have never met and probably never will and probably doesn't have the same life experiences as you.

Surprised to read this. I've heard it about the dinner (never been to that) but we've done the breakfast twice and the food was excellent both times. Lobster benedict, pecan rolls, strawberry soup... YUM! It sure beat out the regular eggs & bacon everywhere else.

Agree completely. While I liked 1900PF dinner last month less than I did when we went last year, it's certainly not disgusting (or anything close to that). Five great characters make it worthwhile.

Admittedly we haven't been there for almost 3 years - we have ressies in Dec for our return WDW trip -- but my family have always enjoyed out time at 1900 Park Fare. The characters were always wonderful and the wicked step-mom was the best --- she scared even my dh. I can't stand Golden Corral or Ryans or any other place like that - but I didn't feel that 1900 Park Fare was anything close to resembling that. I will say that my youngest didn't like the food selections the last time were there so the chef came out, talked to us and brought out ds's requested food in a very large quantity.

We have been 4 times for dinner, and twice for breakfast, and have enjoyed it every time. The food was good, and the characters were nice too! As others have posted-try it for yourselves and form your own opinions. We go there each trip....our girls love it too!!! It's the only meal they dress-up for; Cinderella and Snow White-the characters get a kick out of that!!! Also,we don't pay oop-Free Dining each time.;)
