We will be doing lunch at Cinderella's Table early in the trip, so will have already done one character meal. But my girls are interested in the 1900 meal because of the characters there. For various reasons, my itinerary doesn't really allow for us to start the day at Hollywood Studios any other day.

So should I keep the ressie at 9:30 am and just make due at HS with the longer lines because we're getting there late? Or cancel my ressie and get to HS when it opens?

I guess I'm trying to figure out what the kids would enjoy more. Thanks for any input you can give me! We leave in four days and I'm stressing over this last day.

If you're willing to wait an hour for TSM, I say keep the ADR. The only reason we like to get to DHS at RD is to get a FP for TSM and get on stand by with a short wait. However, if we couldn't get there at RD and FP's were gone by the time we got there (I would assume FPs will be gone by the time you get there if you keep the ADR), then I would just wait the hour in the stand by line. It's a ride that shouldn't be missed IMO. The rest of the rides don't really require quick action after RD so you will be fine getting there late morning for the rest.

I personally love HS, but your girls would probably prefer to eat wit the characters at 1900. Depending on how tall they are, there may not be that much for them to do there. As a PP said, the Toy Story Mania is a must, but you should be there in time to get a fast pass (depending on what time of year you are going) if you are there by noon. Everything else is not really that bad of a wait time.

By the time you get to DHS, all the FPs will probably be gone for TSM. But, the new Star Tours is way better than TSM. I have two dds (9,7) and while they have seen the movies, their into princesses, not Star Wars. But, they really enjoyed Star Tours. We did do both rides however. I'm guessing you'll probably be more in Playhouse Disney area and Little Mermaid show. The parade is usually around 3.

On the other side, 1900 Park Fare is one of the few restaurants you'll find Alice and Mad Hatter. The two of them came to our table together and started talking and playing off each other. My oldest is a big Alice fan (wore her dress for Halloween this year). If they want to see Alice, 1900 Park Fare breakfast is the best way to do so.

Given your kids ages according to your siggie, I would keep the character breakfast and arrive later to DHS. I first took my son to Disney World when he was 4, and he was most interested in characters and the hotel pool. Hopefully, you will be able to see and do all you want in HS, which is completely plausible if you can snag a TSM FP for a decent return time (if TSM is even on your agenda.) Regardless, with young kids, I would attend the enjoyable breakfast that will allow great photo opps. and character interventions before making park opening.

Thanks for the info everyone. I think we will keep the reservation. I think my kids would enjoy the breakfast more than the TSM. It would be great if we get a FP, and if not I guess we either wait in line or skip it. Sounds like there's other things they'll enjoy just as much at HS.

I say do the character meal at Hollywood Studios, that way you are doing a meal and will be there when the park opens. We did the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare last year and HANDS DOWN my kids would pick TSM over the breakfast any day!! :)

The breakfast at 1900 Park Fair is wonderful. DD9 is a HUGE Mary Poppins fan. Mary Poppins spent quite a long time conversing with her. DH got mauled by Tigger, which made him happy, and DD26 was the object of the Mad Hatter's dialog, as she was weaing an unbirthday shirt with Alice's picture on it (Alice was absent that day, Belle was there in her stead). The food was good, the interaction was phenominal, and I have been informed by my family that we are doing this one again whether I want to go somewhere else or not!

Have you thought about doing Hollywood & Vine instead for breakfast? While I love 1900PF for breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised with H&V last trip. I don't know if it's now more difficult to get in with the addition of Jake to the character line up, but we went back in August and I was able to get an 8:05am ADR a week before our travel. We were out with about 5 min to spare for the TSMM fast pass run.

Of course, if your kids don't care about TSMM, you probably could just stick with 1900PF...the pecan sticky buns are heavenly!!! :cloud9:

We arrived at DHS at 10:15 after an early ADR and the FP for TSM was between 4:30 and 5:30. This was on Thurs, Dec. 1. We went to 1900 for dinner was were completely disappointed with everything about it. It just depends on which you think your girls would prefer.
