Hi, I was just seeing what everyone thought of this breakfast. We would like to do this for my son's 5th birthday and then have him go on the pirate cruise at 9:15am. If we can get a 8am reservation do you think we could have him down by the water at 9:15am? Thanks!!!! :yay:

We love breakfast at Park Fare. Love the characters and the food. Sorry don't know anything about the cruise though.

It kind of dpends on if you are seated right away. Is 8am the earliest time? We ate there in October and it was an excellent breakfast but our ADR was for 9 AM. it took about 10 minutes to be seated but the breakfast was quick since it's a buffet, we just waited around for characters a bit. I would say you need at least an hour for breakfast and definitely get there early for your reservation.

8am is the earliest and we are are grand gathering so I have to wait until everyone has "approved" the schedule I made before I can start making any reservations. We may not get the time we need so we'll need a backup plan.

If you have ressies for 8am, and you have a grand gathering, which means you must have at least 8 people, I would think there is a slim chance of making it on time. It usually takes on average 1.5 hrs for a character meal, and that's with a smaller party size. You can always make sure DS and you finish your meal early, and you can walk him down to the dock while the rest of your party finishes breakfast.

We did the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare on our last trip and we found it to be one of the longer character meals mainly because it seemed to take forever for the characters to get around to all the tables. We had a later ADR time and were seated right away but it took 1 hr 15 minutes before we were finally able to see Alice and the Mad Hatter. It seemed like every 15 minutes or so they were going into a back room for a break. I'm not sure if this is the normal experience or not but we have found other character breakfasts at Crystal Palace, Ohana, and even the old Restaurantosaurus to be much quicker in getting the characters around.

So to answer your question, unless you eat quickly and leave before seeing all the characters, you probably won't be done in time for an appointment at 9:15.

We have the same issue...We have an 8:00 ADR and an 9:30 (9:15) pirate cruise in July...We will skip characters if we have to but I hope that we are not forced to make that choice...I plan to get there at leat 10 minutes to 8:00 in order (or should I say in the hopes) that we get seated right away...We do not mind eating quickly, so I hope it works...

We have been to tons of character meals and we find that they take about an hour on average...That is why I even planned this day as I did.
