Hi!

My daughter would like to celebrate her 8th birthday at 1900 Park Fare. She would like to have her two friends, sister, and herself of course, dress up in true princess style and eat and visit with the characters. I know they have redone the restaurant in the past year or so, and we haven't been since then. We ate there about 3 years ago, and it was really good. Have any of you eaten there since it reopened? Is the food still good? The characters? Do you think it's worth it?

We live about an hour and a half away, so we will not be going in the parks. But if you have any better suggestions for outside of the parks, I'm all ears!

We ate dinner there June 1st. It was our first time so I have nothing to compare it too but we enjoyed it. The characters were Prince Charming, Cinderella, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella. Prince Charming and Cinderella were exactly charming and beautiful and Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters were hysterical! There were lots of little girls dressed in princess dresses there as well...including many who had evidently been to the BBBoutique earlier in the day. At the end there was an announcement asking for anyone celebrating a special day to stand up and be recognized too...then Cinderella and Prince Charming danced with each other and with people in the restaurant.

The food was fine...typical buffet. The strawberry soup was YUMMY! My kids ate the pasta/pizza/veggies on the kids buffet and liked that it was just their height.

We had no complaints and found it to be an enjoyable evening.

thank you SO much for your reply. that is a huge help. I definitely would like the food to be good if I'm paying $30 a person basically! But your description of the characters helps a lot as well. Thanks!

We just ate there for a friend's daughter's birthday last week. The food was actually one of the best buffets I've been to in WDW. Good variety of food and it was tasty too. They didn't do a whole lot for the kid's birthday, I think they gave her a placemat or something, but she enjoyed it. She (and my daughter) did go to the BBB beforehand, which they enjoyed, and made it more than just a dinner. We live out of state, so we were in the parks and went to the MK BBB, but you could do the DTD one if you aren't going into the parks.
