we (me, kids 6, 4, 4, friend and her D2) are going in october and I already have ressies for CRT breakfast. but for some reason I am drawn to the dinner at 1900 park faire. I keep hearing how fun it is with the stepsisters. the thing is, is it overkill to do a 2nd cinderella meal? I am not giving up CRT because I know the kids will love eating in the castle, but considering there are 2 boys in the mix, will the 2nd cinderella meal be too much? we plan to do one other character meal, one with mickey (either chef mickeys or the tusker house breakfast).

any thoughts?

also, would you consider doing an early seating here prior to mnsshp? we did 5pm at CP last time we went and that worked out sooo well. we were done just before the party really got going. will it be too much of a pita to go to 1900 park faire prior?

I don't think its too much. It sounds like your kids are pretty young so I doubt the boys will groan too much! Also, from what I hear, the stepsisters are pretty fun and I think boys would get a kick out of that. I agree with not cancelling the CRT one, thats something everybody needs to do at least once! 1900 Park Fare also has a really nice dinner buffet and is considered by many to be the best character dinner buffet at WDW. So the food alone is probably worth it!

I would shoot for an ADR earlier than 5:00 or do a different night. With CP being inside the park, you had already entered, gotten your wristband etc. So if you can get something earlier than that one was at 1900 I think it would be great. I just like to get inside the MK at least one hour before the party if I can. Those character meals can take up to 90 minutes and when you add in the time it will take you to get to the MK (along with lots of other people staying and dining at the monorail resorts) you don't want to get there stressed that you are running late!

We did both our last visit and it was not overkill, my older dd was so happy to get to eat with her twice! Plus the setting is so different!

To children there is no such thing as "too many princess". Then again I have to girls (6 & 8).

I would do both. The themes are completely different. 1900 PF has the Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine, they are definitely different than the "stately" Princesses in the Castle. Between the squabbling and the whining and the little remarks going back and forth the meal is a hoot! Cinderella and Prince Charming are not the main characters in this little story ;)

I plan on booking both (CRT breakfast & 1900 for dinner), but I think I'm emlinating the Princess Storybook dinner from my list.

okay, I went ahead and booked it. this one is for me. lol. seriously, it is. I made a ressie for 4:30 before our mnsshp night. its the only time I could fit it in and think it will be fine (we're at the poly, so not a lot of travel at least).

so I have 3 character meals, crt, 1900 pf, and tusker house. :)
