I'm planning dinner at 1900 at the GF and sharing a fireworks cruise with another DISer afterwards. I have two questions.

First of all, how's the food and character interaction? I have a very adventurous eating family and we did not like chef Mickey's for dinner (the food was bland and overcooked except for the great mashed potatoes).

Second, how long is the parking pass for. We will be there from about 5-9 because of dinner and the cruise. Will that be a problem?

The food was (JMO) much better than Chef Mickey's. There was a wide variety in the buffet. Character interaction was great. Both Tigger and Eeyore visited out table twice and all the characters made efforts to get around the dining room to meet everyone.

Parking: I'd do valet parking so you don't have to worry (or walk). Regular parking is across the street -- long walk. Normally non-resort guest parking is 3 hours. That's why I'd suggest going to valet parking. Let the CM do the running for you -- after a day at the parks, you're not going to want to make the hike to get your car after the dinner and cruise.

You could park at TTC and take the monorail over to GF. Then you won't have to worry about the time limit.

We loved the food at 1900 PF and found it was much better than the barely warm/over cooked/dried out slop at CM.

Thanks so much. I guess I'll do valet. It makes more sense since I'm sure we'll all be exausted. I'm glad the food is good. I was really disapointed in CM in February after all the good things people said about it on this board.

We too have a PS for 1900 Park Faire. I, too, was wondering about the parking. We will will stay at the resort but are going to arrive a day early and stay at another hotel. How much does it cost to valet park? And what is TTC? Thanks for the help.

TTC= Ticket and Transportation Center

I want to say valet is 6, but I don't remember for certain.

Where do you load for the fireworks cruise? That would help me (if it were me) to decided. If you are staying onsite parking at TTC is free, if not it would be just as cheap to valet park at GF.

Valet is $6/day and it covers valet at all Disney resort valets.

As an additional FYI, th self-parking at GF is a looooong way away from the resort (across the street). So self-parking can be a chore at GF.
