I was looking at the menu for 1900 Park Fair menu and I was wondering if the food is good. There seems to be a lot of fancy sounding items on the menu. I have two very picky eaters in my family and am trying to plan a special meal for my daughters 5th birthday. Help! I welcome advice, opinions, suggestions...

I was very disappointed in the food selection the night i went. From what i understand, they change up the theme in one station often. That night it was terrible. im not a picky eater, but i really didnt like the stuff they served. the pasta was dried out and tasteless too. Even the kids section was a let down, ditto for desserts!!! I wouldnt go back. Im glad i went cause of the characters, omg theyre sooooo funny!

I'd give it a try anyway. Some ppl LOVE their food. Maybe they went on a good night? Looked like there was a food shortage the night i went. :lmao:

I didn't think the food there was terrible. We've eaten at a lot of buffets and the only one we've ever thought had really bad food was The Crystal Palace. I don't remember thinking it was the most delicious food I've ever eaten, but left feeling full and satisified.

I agree the characters there are fabulous!

This is hilarious, it goes to show you that ppl really do have different tastes. I thought Crystal Palace had GREAT food! We loved it for both lunch & dinner! haha.

We had the worst meal there...........won't go back.
The food wasn't good. And I think we have been to just about every buffet.
Breakfast was great....dinner, not so.

TOTALLY AGREE HERE! Breakfast was actually fantastic! The bonus is that they have REAL bacon! Huge difference from breakfast & dinner. I'd go back to BF but not D.

We have eaten here a couple of times and choose this buffet over Chef Mickey's. We used to like Crystal Palace but felt it really went downhill when we ate there in 2009 and have not booked since.

The characters are also great at 1900 Park Fare as they can interact with the guests -- a little different from the other buffets as they are not dressed in a full costume with "mask".

Don't forget to try the Strawberry Soup! :stir:

I thought the food was good when I ate there last month. I liked the butternut squash soup, chicken marsala, and they had this amazing vegetable pasta. That being said, how picky are your picky eaters and how old are they? If for some reason they are adults, they may have some issues because the selection of bland foods are miniscule. Picky kids, on the other hands, have the generic chicken fingers and what not so they should probably be fine.

Yep. We've tried dinner at CP twice and it was awful both times (as was the service). We had it booked for breakfast this trip and thought we'd try a different meal there but we ended up having to change our reservations and now we're booked at CP for dinner again. I'm a little hesitant about going back but our 2 year old was super excited about eating w/ Pooh and friends and dinner is the only one that fits in our schedule now.

we like the food at both places...but agree that there was not much "plain" food on the buffet at 1900 Park Fare dinner. However, we had an adult very-picky-eater with us on one occasion, and she actually really liked the mac & cheese and the chicken fingers at the kids station so she was fine with 1900 Park Fare.

We liked the desserts (especially the ice cream sundaes) and the dinner characters are outstanding. The kiddos can go out and dance with Cinderella and her Prince...the stepsisters are rude & obnoxious (and sooooo funny) and the stepmother is haughty and nose-in-the-air snobby. Great fun for all ages people.

We love 1900PF!!!!! Though it didn't receive stellar reviews, we decided to go ahead and try it anyway. I was hesitant and almost cancelled our reservation; I am so glad I didn't. Everything we had was very fresh and delicious tasting. They had a wide variety of food to choose from; there was truly something for everyone. I can't remember all of the food offerings, but there was a variety of pasta & cold salads, carved meats, variety of vegetables, several pasta dishes (think lasagna, etc), I'm pretty sure there was your standard kid fare of mac-n-cheese, spaghetti, nuggets, etc., there was tons of fresh fruit, an assortment of soups (including strawberry soup), and a variety of desserts (cookies, little mouse cups, self-serve ice cream). My kids are picky eaters and they ate a lot and were very happy. The food was one of our favorite meal offerings and the character interaction was the best by far of any character meal. I'm hoping we didn't just get lucky one night while the food happened to be very good. I'm hoping our next experience proves to be the same. We loved it so much it was our #2 restaurant for our last trip (O'hana was #1). I think this would be a great place to celebrate a birthday.

We ate here for Christmas dinner and it was great! The interaction with the characters is the best!

I'll add.....the day we went we waited 45 minutes to be seated with an ADR!! :(
The floor was dirty and littered. There were kids laying in the aisle ways making it hard to walk to the food stations.
We were 2 adults and only the step sisters came to visit us and only for a short time.
Very disappointed.
Breakfast was so different. Character interaction was great. Gotta love the Mad Hatter.

Crystal Palace was okay for good. Our service was very good.
Character interaction was wonderful. We got loads of pictures and the characters stayed with us for quite awhile.

1900 PF dinner was NOT GOOD at all. We did not like the quality or selection of food. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

As another poster had said, even the kids & dessert selection wasnt good.

Im glad i went, but i wouldnt go back.

I have to say thou, the characters were HILARIOUS. if it werent for them, i would have been ticked.

We were here for dinner last May. We'd have eaten breakfast here and loved it! the food at dinner was not that great at all. I didn't care for most of the selections and I am not a picky eater. I found the food dry in many cases and hot items were cold...luke warm at best.

I will say, however, that the service was GREAT!!! The characters were a lot of fun, too! I guess it can be a hit or miss spot. We won't be doing dinner here anytime soon. Breakfast is a possibility.
