19 year olds and alcohol?

BD....have you been there too? Just wondering from your comment.

I'm sorry BD....didn't know that was the reason for your being single...although I have noticed you don't speak "fondly" of your former spouse. Sorry, didn't mean to get too personal!

tezb - thank you, but no need to apologize. You weren't getting personal at all. I feel sorry for anyone who is, or has been, in a position to share "war stories" regarding alcoholism...

Something I just thought of........my DD will be a few months shy of 18 when we cruise........will she be allowed in the clubs with me?
My DD was 17 when we went at New Years - we did several Spa treatments with me and went into the clubs and hung out at the adult only pool. I see you are from Long Island - girls from our area tend to look more sophisticated/mature:rolleyes: then girls I saw on the cruise from other areas...so it wasn't a problem. The only place she couldn't go was to work out in the gym...they 'carded' her and your key card says "adult" if you are over 18 as my DS was. It does not have your sex on it - we should have had her take his card as his name is unisex.

Now before anyone yells that we were 'cheating' I will add that my DD IS quite mature and acted better then some adults we saw onboard:earseek:

Funny you should mention "war stories" BD. My father's alcoholism started as a result of being in the Korean War! Too sad.....

now onto happier things, right?
