Tweaking my plans for an end of February into March 2019 trip.

On our first full day, we're gong to be in MK and planning to be in Fantasyland area at lunch. Is there any way I'll be able to nab BoG or CRT lunch for 5 people on 180+1 at that time of year? Right now, I have us walking down to Liberty Tree Tavern, as I know those ADRs are easier to come by, but it's not my preference.

For further background, we're doing a split room DxDP, so I'm being very particular about my credits. I have a lunch allocated each to BoG and CRT later in the trip but, if I can't shift one of those here, then this needs to be a day I'm feeding a family of 5 on 3 a la carte TS credits (with the app, entree, dessert). That's why I'm not just grabbing QS in Fantasyland. My 3 credits will get us way more food at an a la carte TS.

Bog is a qs lunch, not ts
You cannot share meals at CRT

Not sure if I am understanding your second paragraph though

I'm not trying to share at CRT and I know BoG is QS. I have a 5 credit meal allotted to BoG and a 10 credit meal allotted to CRT later in the week. Based on my remaining credits, there needs to be a 3 credit a la carte TS lunch in MK.

I'd rather have CRT or BoG here and do 3 credits at LTT or the Plaza later in the week, but I'm not sure what my chances are of getting the harder ADRs at 180+1.

The point of the last paragraph was to preempt people from saying that the best way to stay in Fantasyland is to just do one of the QS and not make an ADR. I'm aware of that, in theory, but in practice that gets us less food.

I think if you prioritize the BOG/CRT booking to be the first one you get at 180, you have a decent shot and would definitely try that first and keep LTT or Plaza as your backup plan, as you've noted. There's no way to know for sure if you'll get your first choice ADR until the day of booking, so all you can really do is plan contigency, which you're alreay doing.

My biggest concern would be trying for them at +1 right when my window opens and then missing my chance to get them at +3 and +8, where I have them now. I'm not sure if getting one of them at +1 is just a pipe dream or a moderate possibility.

So I was told by others that getting BOG and CRT on day one of my plan was not a good plan. I was told to push any really popular ADR's toward the end of my trip. I also have 5 TS and 5 QS credits. I was online this morning at 15 minutes to 6am ET and had a tab for each restaurant ready to go and everything including the date and type of meal set and just had to hit search to find the ADR and no availability on day 1. I was able to get them both on other days but not Day 1.

The reason it's not a good plan is because others have a priority over you on your day one because they book 180+ however many other days they are staying which over laps your day one and is toward the end of their trip. I would have changed my MK day but I screwed up and bought my MVMCP ticket prior to making my ADR's so, I couldn't move my park day. I was able to get CRT for breakfast on day 3 and BOG breakfast on day 4. So, my suggestion is to move your MK park day toward the end of your trip and book which ever one you prefer BOG or CRT. I wish you the best on getting your ADR's.

I recommend using touring plans if you don’t get what you want at 180. We just planned a quick trip for the end of September and by using them I have gotten everything we wanted including dinner at BOG.

Getting BoG or CRT is very hard, if not impossible at the +1 mark. The later in your trip you try and book them for, the better your chances will be at getting them at your booking time. I found that even at the +5, 6 and 7 days out, BoG is hard but with sometimes has some availability at very early and very late times like 4:30 and 9:45.
Don't feel distressed if you don't get them at first. Being persistent pays off. That, and Touring Plans!
